Crikey now there's another lot. They sound further away (from me, anyway). Very sorry for the immediate neighbours, not to mention the poor animals.
-
I remember it after it closed down. Didn't it become something else before it was demolished and flats built there?
-
Is it the same people? Very odd, I agree, but even odder if it's the same people two nights running I've heard them both times, but didn't know where they were coming from.

I guess you need to ask, but I'm sure it will be possible given the right precautions. I guess you need to weigh up the pros and cons. Daniel is very helpful. I'm sure he would give you advice over the phone, if he or you don't feel a physical visit is advisable, but obviously chiropractic itself involves hands on treatment (to the best of my knowledge).

Daniel at Dulwich Chiropractic is seeing patients for emergencies (and now others also). I can very highly recommend him. http://www.dulwichchiropractic.co.uk Hope you are in less pain soon, Alice. ETA: An update on their website says they are currently working 11 hour days and weekends.

If they had just given a date, they thought some pubs might open just after midnight (i.e. 12.01 am on 4 July, just after midnight tonight). But why 6am, God knows.

But blood testing was previously done at both Dulwich Hospital and King's. Are you saying it will now only be done at King's? Dulwich was very convenient! -

https://www.closedpubs.co.uk/london/se15_peckham.html The link above is to a list of closed pubs in Nunhead and Peckham. Maybe one of the names will ring a bell?
-
Probably someone from the other Nunhead pubs would be able to tell you? I'm assuming not The Man of Kent, as that's on a corner?

I think The Bishop was The Foresters Arms? On a corner of Lordship Lane but not "the" corner by the roundabout (that's the EDT). The first pub you come to after the EDT, and before The Palmerston. Very rough pub, and you could smell the Gents toilet as soon as you walked in the door. When it became The Bishop, the owner had a dog who had a seat by the window permanently reserved for it, even when it wasn't in the pub .... The Actress is at the junction of North Cross Road and Crystal Palace Road, opposite where the old police house used to be.

When I bought my small terraced house nearly thirty years ago, it was described in the estate agent's blurb as an "artisan's cottage." I thought it was just estate agent language to make the house sound more attractive!

And I've discovered that some low alcohol beer is actually rather good (thank you Tesco!) so that was a health bonus 😂 Some still as dire as I remember, though ....

What is with all the noise in ED recently?!

JohnL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------- > > There's noises in the country too - cows, birds, > tractors and teenagers live in the country too > (they just have their parties in a rural rather > than urban setting) Having lived in both town and country, I would rather hear owls hooting - and the occasional sound of small animals screaming as the owls catch them - than some of the avoidable noises in the early hours round here .... Tractors don't tend to be out at night, on the whole, nor cows moo ... And teenagers tend to meet up with their mates in the towns/villages, not in the middle of the countryside .... -
Good to hear, hope that continues x

Has that meant things have improved for you, mary123? I hope so.

My partner and I were sitting in the garden, and we both heard and commented on the sirens. It is very usual to hear one or two, not so many at once. I thought we would hear of some local incident the following day. I doubt if we would have heard anything if we had been inside the house, so I'm a bit bemused as to why anybody would say there weren't any sirens just because they didn't happen to hear them!
