And chicken. And eggs. And dairy. It is very easy these days to move to a plant-based diet, and there are now lots of shops selling suitable foods in East Dulwich. ETA: A plant-based diet is also better for your health.

Odd query/problem but thought maybe someone has had the same experience

bob Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It was amazing when it was thistles the chef and > owner was called Sammy Josef Egyptian Moroccan > cuisine amazing Bob S I am sure it was Thistells, because the name always used to make me laugh, given that there were thistles everywhere and Le Chardon is The Thistle. I've just googled and found this (scroll down to cafes and restaurants and you will see Le Chardon - Thistells :) https://www.facebook.com/Igrewupindulwich/photos/heres-a-snapshot-of-how-lordship-lane-was-15-years-ago-lots-of-gaps-and-probably/895799073779717/

Thank you for flagging this up. I had a similar experience at the playground in Brockwell Park when my grandchildren were small, although this was an older man sitting alone, clearly without a child attached, who appeared to be taking pictures on an iPad, which he had hidden in a carrier bag. There was more to it than that, but I still sometimes think about it and wish I had done something about it.

Ah, I did think your post was a bit strange :)) This forum seems to be getting a lot of similar posts recently.

I have just found out that there is a fairly recent Google glitch which duplicates photos. Which explains why I have so many. vanihe, I was using a USB cable when I had problems. I am going to try again later today, have had more pressing things to do since I last tried ...... :)

DulwichFox Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > I know that if were say the World was Round, > there are people on here would disagree with me. > Nobody would disagree with you. Because if you said the world was round, that would be demonstrably true. People disagree with you on here because you write a load of absolute bollocks which when pressed you are unable to back up with facts. It wouldn't matter so much if there weren't apparently so many people like yourself who have swallowed right wing lies hook, line and sinker and have led us to the terrible position we now find ourselves in. Well, you will find out in due course how terrible it actually is. And by then it will be too late. For you, and sadly, for us.

This thread is nearly three years old. The issue is long sorted. Why are people reviving such old threads? There have been several recently.

It was never the same sitting in that big room, though I can sort of understand why they changed all the layout. They used to sell chocolate coffee beans in the tiny shop part they had at the front as you went in. I miss those! And, if memory serves, croissants?

Pretty sure it was 1991 or 2? It was just after I moved to East Dulwich. Very sad to see it go, but I never really understood why it was changed to a rum lounge. I liked it best in its original incarnation, with several separate quirky little rooms.

Thanks KK, I will edit my post (senility strikes again :)) )

You have been ill, haven't you, Dulwich Fox? Are you looking forward to the ?350,O00,000 per week (was it? Whatever was on the front of that bus that Boris Johnson posed in front of) that the NHS is going to "gain" when we leave the E.U.? It wasn't true. Was it?

Perhaps you would like to explain exactly what you mean by "rabid champagne socialist ignorant element"? I'm particularly interested in your definition of "ignorant", in this context. Thanks.

Somebody elsewhere, possibly Facebook, confirmed it was a cormorant. I quite often see them on the Thames, never in Peckham though :)

Do you put out bird food? I have a seed feeder and a suet ball feeder, plus Niger seed (I've never seen a goldfinch here, but my partner has). Wondering if there's anything in particular which might attract long tailed tits?
