What evidence have you got for that?
  2. Oh ok thanks. Shan't be going there then :(

Not keen on Wagamama (though as said above it isn't Chinese). I think it's gone way downhill since its early days ( but I haven't been there for years, so maybe it has gone uphill again!
  4. SpringTime Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- The fresh herbs > section is underwhelming. Bit surprised you say that. I got a good sized pot of healthy Thai Basil there some time ago, and it's still going strong. Never seen Thai Basil anywhere else in East Dulwich.

I think you will find if you google that BT do not do well on customer service/satisfaction ratings. Talk Talk are setting the bar rather low, so it isn't surprising that BT are better than them.
  6. There was a lady in Ulverscroft Road yesterday knocking on doors, but it wasn't to help with shopping I don't think - or at least not in the way I understood your post. I stand to be corrected, as I told her I wasn't interested, but she appeared to be promoting one of those schemes which deliver vegetables and other food to your house.

On one occasion I actually said to the person on the checkout "You look like you really enjoy your job" and she looked at me and said "No I don't" :)) Whereas the people in M&S are almost always really cheerful and helpful.

A wall near the Cowley Centre in Oxford has a brilliant series of murals done by local children, I believe from various local schools and community groups.
  9. The divi still exists. It just isn't called that any more. If you sign up you get instant reductions at the checkout. It's brilliant. Sometimes I have got most of my shopping free.
  10. The current heading does imply that a thief returned a stolen dog to its owner - also implying that s/he knew who the owner was - which is rather more weird than somebody taking a possibly distressed dog to a vet, but hey ho, I guess there are more important things to do than change a heading on a forum thread :)

Is there any reason why the original heading hasn't been changed?

Many of Uber's drivers are apparently uninsured, and also some drivers are using another driver's ID, if I have understood things correctly. So you may know whose car you are getting into, but not necessarily who is driving it, nor whether they are insured.
  17. What do you mean, how best to negotiate with BT? Is BT your only possible provider? I have fibre, and I'm with Plusnet. I was with BT for a time and their customer service was appalling. I know Plusnet belongs to BT, but they are run as different companies.
  18. alice Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Just seems weird Well if you don't believe Turtle, I guess you could always go and ask the vet yourself :) ETA: I have sometimes seen dogs who didn't look very happy tied up outside shops and have wondered whether I should do something about it. If this dog was distressed and/or had been left there for a long time, it doesn't surprise me at all that somebody might have taken him/her to the vet, since there is a vet more or less opposite the shop in question.
  19. I thought the new speaker was already decided?

  22. Try Shingo at Kuki in Bellenden Road. He's a fantastic cutter (with lots and lots of recommendations on here). Obviously I can't guarantee that your daughter will like him, but he is unlikely to leave his own salon! He does get booked up quite a long way in advance, though. 020 3441 5792
  23. What is ironic is that last year somebody painted what I thought was a really sweet little poem on this wall (picture attached) and it was removed within a few days.
  24. Pleased that the story has a happy ending, however if a person was sufficiently concerned to take the dog to a vet for safekeeping, the owner must have been gone a long time?
  25. To be clear, I never finished it, hence the reference to "trying" - my brain got stuck at some point and I never got past that point :)) Thanks for the suggestion re the cloud, though :)
