  1. I'd be happy to take them off your hands! I can use them on my allotment!

It wasn't clear if they were looking for a specific Portuguese person or Portuguese speakers in general. I suggested they post on here rather than go house to house! It didn't really occur to me until now that they might have some ulterior motive. I thought the second person was a child, but I only caught a glimpse of them from the back,so it could have been a quite small adult.

  4. That's ridiculous. Surely they need a signature as proof of delivery.

  6. Are people suggesting that KidKruger has posted a picture of a woman on here who was just a random person passing by? With no good reason for doing it? Come on ....
  7. 4:1 to Carlisle :(

I always eat the cartilage :) But probably won't be eating it again now I'm plant based (in case anybody picks me up on it :)) )
  10. Lucy123, clicking on your name brings up a post with your address and mobile number on. You might want to delete them. Never a good idea to post such personal details on a public forum.

I think you are confusing two murals .... The one on the side of The Lordship has been there for some years.
  13. As I said .... they didn't come out for remain because the referendum had more votes for leave. I am a member of the Labour Party. I go to local meetings. I would not describe any of us as "far left". Where have you got this stuff from?

Apologies to Admin, but I can't let this pass without comment, sorry! Labour's position is that they will negotiate a new (presumably better) Brexit deal and then put that specific deal to a referendum. The referendum will include the option to vote to remain in the EU. Given that the country voted in the last referendum for Brexit (albeit by a very slim majority and on the basis of lies and misinformation and not knowing what deal would actually be proposed) Labour wants to be seen to abide by that democratic vote, and therefore can't come out for remain. Nevertheless it is quite possible that if they get in and there is a second referendum as outlined above, remain may win the day. Oh please ...... And I expect this will be a topic for discussion at the hustings on 29 November!! To bring things back on topic here !!!
  16. alice Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Could anyone clarify why mural by lordship is > horrible. I had thought I liked it. It's a matter of personal taste. I don't think anybody is saying the mural is objectively horrible (which would be an odd thing to say). They are just saying that they personally don't like it. If you thought you liked it, you probably still do. Don't be swayed by what other people think about it!
  17. As I can't find the irrational rage thread, I'm posting this here. M&S. This is not just any old carp. This is M&S carp. (No fish jokes, please). M&S, no wonder you are failing miserably. FFS get some new promo people GRRRRRRRR.
  18. Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sue, how long is it safe to keep in the fridge? Don't know, because usually I eat it all within a few days :) But if it started looking a bit frothy and/or smelling a bit odd, I would bin it. I imagine it lasts as long as shop-bought hummus does (assuming the shop-bought hummus doesn't have some kind of preservative in it, which I don't think it does). ETA: I usually transfer it to a covered container in the fridge, eg an old takeaway container. I have loads of those because I freeze things in them :)

I have them sometimes. Also in addition to knowing that I'm dreaming, I can sometimes influence what happens in the dream. But it's a bit pointless speculating about whether animals have them, isn't it, because we will never know, as they can't communicate. People have rapid eye movements when they dream. Don't know whether animals do.

Good chips should be crispy outside and soft inside, in my opinion. Sadly, fresh and tasty is not enough where chips are concerned!
