I didn't get one? I live in the same road as Dulwich Fox.

I had a work mobile around 1990. It was like a brick. One guy refused to use his on the grounds that he would look a total **** on the train :))

I haven't seen the offer but I'm assuming there could be unopened food? Or is all open? If so, then yes, fair point.

Every time your contract ends you need to tell Ee you're thinking of leaving. Then look around for the best deal elsewhere (on EE if you want to stay with EE) and get them to meet it. If they won't, move elsewhere! You can have a contract with someone else but be on the EE network. That's what I have at the moment because EE directly couldn't meet the price on the phone model I wanted

Where abouts are you? I always use WiFi where it's available, but often it isn't. Doesn't data come via the phone line, so you'd be stuffed if there was bad reception? eg for satnav? I'm not much of a techie as you can see ..... I've never had any reception problems at all with EE, and I really don't want to start having them .....

I'm on 500 mb at the moment, and it isn't enough, but EE have this stupid system where if you pay to get more it doesn't last till the end of the month, but just a day or a week. The current best deal on moneysupermarket is ?5 a month for 250 minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB data. I make very few calls so that would be fine for me. It's with ID (Carphone Warehouse) and they use the Three 4G network, which so far as I know is OK. They seem to have some other deals with data rollover, but they cost more. I haven't yet checked out what happens at the end of the month, and whether you can set it to automatically renew as you can with GiffGaff. I don't want to have to keep faffing about getting new monthly contracts every month, except maybe at the start when I'm trying things out. http://www.moneysupermarket.com/mobile-phones/brands/sim-only/sim-card/

Thanks all, I need to do more research obv. Good customer service is as important to me as cost. And a decent phone and data service obviously. Reading reviews, I think I must have been very lucky so far. Been with EE and previously Orange since my first mobile in the mists of time. Oh and I want 4G. Just had a quick look at Life Mobile and it seems they only have 3G? Money Supermarket suggests some very good monthly sim only deals. Should have looked on there before posting on here. Duh!

I'm thinking of buying my next mobile outright and moving to GiffGaff on their monthly bundles which you can set to recur but can stop or change each month, ie no lengthy contract. Has anybody done this, and if so did you have any problems? I haven't done all the calculations yet but it seems likely to be cheaper and more flexible over a year or two. Interested to hear of others' experiences. I like that they're community run and give some of their profits to charity, too, though that's not my main reason for considering them. ETA:. Oh dear. Its recent reviews on Trust Pilot are terrible. So even more interested to hear of local people's experience .....

Tesco are desperate for customers I think. They are redeeming Sainsbury's brand match coupons, even if they have expired. Though I think that offer only runs to the end of this month. I have one for nearly eight pounds which ran out mid April, which I intend to use! However, if someone doesn't want food they have bought, I'm not sure whether it makes any difference whether it goes into Tesco's bins or their own bins, tbh. Though it would be nice if it was given to the homeless, assuming it was OK to eat, obviously.

Obviously not every Canon printer will fail, or the company would have gone bust PDQ! I'm just suggesting that if you read the thread I linked to, it seems like it's a quite high risk. And Canon seem to have acted appallingly. A class action was taken out against them in the States, but they still failed to admit any fault, though they did give people some minimal compensation.
-
Just don't get a Canon printer, unless you want it to turn into a brick. http://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Printer-Multifunction-Support/Call-to-Arms-for-the-dreaded-U052-Wrong-Printhead-Error/td-p/65759 This happened to mine, and has clearly happened to many other people. Including my son-in-law. You won't want to read 121 pages of people who once had a functioning Canon printer and are now cursing Canon, so suffice it to say, don't get one. I'm never buying anything Canon again, which is a shame because I have Canon cameras and I used to think they were a good reliable company GRRRRRRR :( ETA: It is not just one particular model of Canon printer which has had this problem. It is loads of different models.

Sorry if someone has already posted this, but I saw it on Facebook and thought it was quite good .... "If you don't have the time/inclination to find out all the facts about the EU referendum (I don't blame you) and are possibly unsure which way to vote, perhaps knowing how other notable people are thinking could help out. Here are a few that strongly believe the UK should remain a member of the EU: ? Governor of the Bank of England ? International Monetary Fund ? Institute for Fiscal Studies ? Confederation of British Industry ? Leaders/heads of state of every single other member of the EU ? President of the United States of America ? Eight former US Treasury Secretaries ? President of China ? Prime Minister of India ? Prime Minister of Canada ? Prime Minister of Australia ? Prime Minister of Japan ? Prime Minister of New Zealand ? The chief executives of most of the top 100 companies in the UK including Marks and Spencer, BT, Asda, Vodafone, Virgin, IBM, BMW etc. ? Kofi Annan, the former Secretary General of the United Nations ? All living former Prime Ministers of the UK (from both parties) ? Virtually all reputable and recognised economists ? The Prime Minister of the UK ? The leader of the Labour Party ? The Leader of the Liberal Democrats ? The Leader of the Green Party ? The Leader of the Scottish National Party ? The leader of Plaid Cymru ? Leader of Sinn Fein ? Martin Lewis, that money saving dude off the telly ? The Secretary General of the TUC ? Unison ? National Union of Students ? National Union of Farmers ? Stephen Hawking ? Chief Executive of the NHS ? 300 of the most prominent international historians ? Director of Europol ? David Anderson QC, Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation ? Former Directors of GCHQ ? Secretary General of Nato ? Church of England ? Church in Scotland ? Church in Wales ? Friends of the Earth ? Greenpeace ? Director General of the World Trade Organisation ? WWF ? World Bank ? OECD Here are pretty much the only notable people who think we should leave the EU: ? Boris Johnson, who probably doesn?t really care either way, but knows he?ll become Prime Minister if the country votes to leave ? A former Secretary of State for Work and Pensions who carried out a brutal regime of cuts to benefits and essential support for the poorest in society as well as the disabled and sick ? That idiot that was Education Secretary and every single teacher in the country hated with a furious passion for the damage he was doing to the education system ? Leader of UKIP ? BNP ? Britain First ? Donald Trump ? Keith Chegwin ? David Icke" I'm in the remain camp, in case it wasn't obvious from the above :)) But hey, I think the whole world is going to hell in a handcart, so what would I know.

The people at British Standard are incredibly helpful. In theory they keep costs down by not designing your kitchen. In practice a guy sat down with me for a whole afternoon at their showroom to go through my plans with me and make suggestions. And they have a whole load of new things which they didn't have when I got my kitchen (grrrrr). The units come fully and beautifully made, and even have soft close drawers, which I wasn't expecting in a wooden kitchen. I especially love my pan drawers and my glass fronted wall cabinets!!! ETA: Their website is a bit crap, so don't let that put you off. I think they put their efforts into making the stuff rather than updating their website .......
-
I think they've probably been distributed to local shops etc, hence the references in the OP to where did you find yours and would you pick one up again. Rather than being distributed to residents door to door.
-
Nor did I. I picked up two at a cafe in Peckham.

If you want something glossy you won't like these, but I love my British Standard kitchen: http://britishstandardcupboards.co.uk/ They're wood and you can paint them any colour, but I've kept mine the colour they came in (which was supposed to be an undercoat but doesn't look like it!!)

I'm not sure we have the full picture of what happened and what led up to this. I really can't believe there can have been no warning of any kind. If there wasn't, surely Jenny could take them to a tribunal? Though I suppose if they offered her an alternative job they had fulfilled their obligations:( -

We really enjoyed the food, especially the pud we had (panna cotta with salted shortbread crumbled over it, and some sort of poached strawberries on the side). Thought it was very good value for money. I'm not keen on the decor either, and it was very gloomy upstairs during the day (though there's a brighter bit at the back which we didn't discover till too late). I also didn't realise they had Murphy's on draught until too late :( It was very very empty, though we were quite early so maybe most people have lunch later! There are great windows in the downstairs bar which open onto the street and which you can sit immediately in front of (grammar), but I'm not sure whether you can eat downstairs?
