Thank you for reporting this and posting it on here. So many people would just have walked on by and thought "it's not my business" or similar, and so such abuse continues :( It's very disturbing to see something like that. Did you notice what they were wearing? I'm sure that wasn't the first thing on your mind in such a horrible situation, but it's possible it could help identify them.

Surely they won't just take your money and leave you with no tree? If you phone the hospice, they are sure to have a contact number for the people who sold you the tree, so you can re-arrange delivery.

I haven't read all this thread, I'm just idly browsing before bed. so I'm sorry to jump in. I obviously don't condone the Charlie Hebdo murders, but in my opinion the cartoonists were poking a bear with a stick. The nature of how Muslims/Mohammed were portrayed in the cartoons was compared by many to the portrayal of Jews in cartoons in Germany before and during the war. If that comment isn't relevant then please ignore, I don't want to send the thread off course.

Might that be because everybody was leaving Melbourne Grove in droves not long ago, so they have fewer patients? Or have I mixed them up with some other practice? Profuse apologies if so, Melbourne Grove -

"Grab a bargain". "Grab" used in any way at all unless describing a greedy child.

Until fashion changes and the houses are converted back to their original Victorian state again :))

Does anybody know if St Johns on Goose Green will have a carol service on Christmas Eve this year? There is nothing on their website that I can see. If not, any other local churches? I'm looking for a late evening service to take visiting relatives to. Thanks!

The people you are hiring the skip from are doing this every day - have you asked their advice? I've only ever had one skip and I left my own car outside my house for a few days if memory serves. But then I seldom use the car - I can see that isn't a solution if you need the car!

It could have been very much worse, and given that somebody else fell in the same place, I do think this particular stone needs sorting. I agree the pavements are bad everywhere though.
