  1. Hi, I PMed you a while ago re this, but you haven't read the message?

    Avoid AFE Plumbing

Thanks Alice. I thought duplicated posts weren't allowed on this forum? I can't see his other post, what section is it in? ETA: I found it, but V has edited it. However his original post is still shown as I quoted it in mine. And his post in this thread is identical to his original post on the other thread. What's going on? Admin? Oh. Now he has edited this one as well.
  3. Hardly a great loss, is it?!
  4. I only ever saw him outside his house! Did he own the house? I hope he and the bird (whose name I have forgotten) weren't kicked out by a landlord 😭

    Avoid AFE Plumbing

I replied to this post asking for specific details, and my post has disappeared?
  6. Thanks Boscombe. Crikey. He took the bird into Sainsbury's with him? 😂
  7. We used to chat to a man who used to stand outside his house in Whateley Road (near Bells the bathroom shop) with his white cockatiel on his arm. We haven't seen them for ages. Just wondering if they are still around?
  8. They have a physio attached to them, as well. I got an appointment with him the following day when I hurt my knee 😮
  9. I don't have any problem with it at all. I might do if I saw/read any evidence of false matches.
  10. The last time this was discussed on here, some years back, I thought it turned out to be fake news? My memory might be wrong
  11. Has Willow in North Cross Road closed down? If so, does anybody know what is replacing it?
  12. I moved to The Gardens from my previous GP a few years back. I have been very happy with it on the whole, though they have recently changed their appointments process and seem to prefer you to make appointments online, though you can still phone after 9am to make one. I didn't have any trouble getting through or getting an appointment when I phoned last week.
  13. But surely it can't be a huge time consuming task to get a search warrant issued? Because although it would seem a relatively small thing they were looking for, it probably wouldn't be just one phone they found there, unless they were all passed on elsewhere very quickly.
  14. I get that with the reduction in police numbers, those who are left have to prioritise the type of crime they choose to investigate/deal with. What I cannot understand is why - when there is clear evidence of the whereabouts of a stolen item - they cannot go to that house, search it, and ask questions which might well lead to any other people involved being caught as well Is there some aspect of police process which prevents them from doing this? Or do they think the phone by the time they get there will no longer be there? I saw a photo recently online somewhere of hundreds of stolen mobiles which had been found in one house, so presumably the police had some kind of lead in that particular case?
  15. Sorry if off topic, but is this house in any way related to the "concrete house" on Lordship Lane which was fairly recently renovated? It is very near it? Wiki link
  16. Maybe a scaffolding company would be able to advise?
  17. Still there! Scroll down the threads in this section!
  18. No of course they shouldn't, but if you are really unhappy with a service and nothing improves when you (and others) complain, then an obvious option is to go elsewhere rather than stay in a bad situation. Especially where your health is concerned.
  19. To be fair, which I know is difficult in this situation, a GP will presumably have a certain amount of time allocated to different tasks within a day, and extending the time for a prescription check in order to discuss other things as well would affect their whole day's timetable, including time already allocated to other tasks and patients. There must be other practices within the same catchment area which people unhappy with this one could join? I can't understand why people aren't leaving it and going elsewhere. It's a very easy process.
