And I am well familiar with the sounds of mating foxes, for the same reason ..... Somewhere between 2 and 3 I heard the sounds again, and there was definitely another sound associated with it which sounded like a stick thumping on wood, that's the best way I can describe it. I went outside again but couldn't see anything. Someone who lives in my road has just told me that her cat, which apparently has a very loud yowl, did not come home this morning, for the first time ever. I sincerely hope this is not related :(

Have just become aware of what sounds like a fox in pain and being hit by a stick or something. I've been outside but can't really identify what direction it is coming from. It isn't the usual fox screaming, and there are thudding sounds as well. Really hoping it isn't a fox caught in some kind of trap, because it is quite distressing :( Can anybody else hear it? ETA: I live off North Cross Road. ETA: It is still continuing. I hope it isn't a dog somebody has been given for Christmas and left in the garden. ETA: 12.39 - has stopped. Whatever it was, I hope the animal is OK :(

The wind brought some of my fence down and some of the back wall with it. I wish I'd just lost a few poxy geraniums :(

I got some cash out of that cash machine outside Barry's in Barry Road . At the bottom of the advice slip, it says "Season's Greetings from everyone at Bank Machine" :))

It's a lovely mural, and the outside of the shop looks very smart.

I have now had a response from my email to Sony, with instructions to reset the device and if that does not work, to get back to them. There was no mention of condensation ..... Fox, there is no "device door", but thanks for your help. Actually, you had jumped over suggestion 6, which is what Sony have now suggested. Fingers crossed .... but resetting sounds ominous. All my settings down the drain .... oh well. Needs must. I think I'll wait till after Christmas, to minimise my stress levels :)) ETA: Luckily, just also seen this advice: "IMPORTANT: Sony does not recommend the use of over-the-counter CD/DVD player lens cleaners."

Usually I curse predictive text, which comes up with ridiculous options, but over the last few weeks it seems to be psychic, oo-er. Just typed in "Will" as the first word of a text, then "d" - and it came up with "discuss", which was what I wanted to type. How the f*** did it know that?? Surely not coincidence? And it can't be from my old texts, as I don't usually say "will discuss" in texts :))

GRRRRRRR. Christmas is expensive enough without having to replace things :(
