  1. Not a good sign when it's is used instead of its, malumbu. Its! It's its! Not it's 🤣 Definite sign of decline there 😛 Sorry admin, as you were. I notice the OP has not posted again in response to any of the comments Very fishy.
  2. What has the Post Office got to do with it? Also, what do you mean by "no avail"? Have they refused point blank to tell you what the engineer's report said, and if so what reason did they give, or have you just had no response? If you are talking about Thames Water, they have many different departments, and you need to persevere until you reach somebody who can actually help.
  3. Crikey! Their Tower Bridge branch has got its own song 😮🤣 https://www.josephsfishandchips.com/tower-bridge Scroll down the page ....
  4. What do you mean by "final date"? As in "use by ...."? So a "best before" date which has passed would be ok?
  5. Longer users of the forum! Did "crushed and devalued" spring to anybody's mind when they read the OP, or was it just me?
  6. You joined the forum two hours ago specifically to post this? I haven't been there, but I have only previously read good things about Joseph's on here. I'm also wondering if you took up your complaint with the shop. If so, what did they say? If not, why not? Especially given that you had paid nearly thirty pounds, it would seem the obvious thing to do, to ask for a replacement or your money back?
  7. https://www.theguardian.com/business/article/2024/sep/06/price-uk-first-class-stamp-rise-royal-mail-letter?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other £1.65 for a first class stamp from next month 😮
  8. Sorry to start another thread on food banks, but I've done a search and none of the existing threads seem relevant to this specific issue. I have several canned items which are past their "best before" (but not sell by) dates by one or two years - specifically, jackfruit in water and coconut milk. I'm sure they are fine to eat, and I would use them myself, but my diet has changed and I'm highly unlikely to. To save me phoning round, does anybody know if local food banks would accept them?
  9. You are nearer to the delivery office there, aren't you? I wonder if that's why?
  10. But so do M&S, don't they?
  11. I've had some letters today, and nothing apparently delayed, so I assume things are back to what passes as normal!
  12. That's up to admin, isn't it? Why do you want the video taken down?
  13. I've had a number of packages, including medication. I haven't noticed not getting any letters, but I wasn't particularly expecting anything through the post. What can you use instead of Royal Mail for letters and cards? If what you say about their annual leave is true, senior management should be made aware. That's just total incompetence, unless there are factors we don't know about.
  14. They can't win, can they? Either people are complaining it's too crowded to swim, or people are complaining when they try to keep numbers to a reasonable level by having pre-booked slots. People who want to lane swim would surely not be happy if they were trying to do it with twenty people in their lane? Even if it was the slow lane 🤣
  15. There are other legitimate food banks in Southwark (if you mean the borough?), eg the one off Dog Kennel Hill and the one in the church at the top of Barry Road. Probably loads more. And to the best of my knowledge none of them ask for cash donations. What does this guy - or whoever he is collecting for - do with the cash? Has anybody asked him?
  16. I think this has been raised on here before somewhere I don't think it can be legit. Why would a food bank be asking for money, instead of donations of food? Though I would have thought M&S might have wanted to do something about it if he wasn't legit, because he seems to be there a lot, and everyone coming out of the shop has to encounter him. ETA: Shouldn't this be in the general ED issues section rather than the lounge?
  17. Stating the obvious, sorry, but surely Evri must realise that a postcode covers more than one house? In my street it is the whole of one side of the street. You could try asking at every house on your side of the road, or putting a note through the doors? But ultimately, surely Evri have to take responsibility for misdelivery? Or the retailer who employed them to deliver your package to your specific address, not just anywhere within the postcode.
  18. Trouble is, the postage would probably be exorbitant 🙄
  19. 😮 Do you know the cause of the fire?
  20. Never heard of them! The place in the screenshot attached?
  21. If you are at home and are able to, please put water out for our lovely local birds ❤️
  22. If they are kids, I don't suppose they read this forum, or are even aware of it 🤣
