Lucky lucky you. Only time I've ever seen one was in Venice - I didn't even know they lived over here.

Yes I'd say it was almost certainly foxes. If it's any comfort it's usually only bad at this time of year.

I'm sure Royal Mail would be delighted to bring them back, if people were willing to pay very very very much more for a stamp to cover the staff costs ..... which they aren't :) ETA: In some countries you have to go and collect all your mail yourself, so we are lucky to have it delivered to our homes and offices at all, I think!

If you have an issue with somebody you should go to see them and sort it out, not slag them off behind their backs to people who don't even know them. -

As I said, it's often subtle. Depends on your definition of bullying. The Office of Children and Young People?s Services? Anti-Bullying Strategy defines bullying as a persistent, deliberate attempt to hurt or humiliate someone. -
Went back yesterday on a scavenging expedition, but many of them had gone .... Have just seen a froggie in my garden, hurrah!! So those of you who kindly told me they would still be around somewhere were right!! It seems to have doubled in size since the last sighting ..... :)-D

Hasn't he given any reason?

Men jiggling coins (sic) about in their pockets, particularly when everything else is quiet. People cracking their finger joints. Men jiggling their legs about when they've got one folded over the over.

PGC, I have a friend who actually lives in Tunbridge Wells. And btw, it's Royal Tunbridge Wells. Does that cause you irrational rage? :))

Fair enough, maybe we should start another thread on the particular issue of security. My point was really that some people hide behind pseudonyms on forums in order to make nasty comments, in the belief that their real identity won't be discovered by the recipient of the comments. And usually, I guess, that's the case. -

Oh well, I have nothing to hide whatsoever - my fondness for barking is common knowledge since I do it in public (and teach it to small children) :)) ETA: I like confusing dogs (much as I love them) :)) -

Just because you use your real name does not mean that everybody knows where you live. -

DJKillaQueen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- I do think though that > that forums and SN sites make it easy for people > to bully and say things who would be normally too > cowardly to do it face to face as well.... xxxxx On social networking sites, of course, people generally use their own names, so at least those who are bullied know who they are being bullied by. Many bullies on forums choose to hide behind pseudonyms, which is particularly cowardly in my opinion. If you want to say something nasty to someone, at least have the decency to reveal who you are. -

We have three gigs booked here at the mo, and we are seeing how they go before booking any more. All these Ivy House gigs are on a Saturday! So it's Wizz Jones plus the Wayne Drury Project this Saturday, 17 September The very funny John Otway, plus Flameproof Moth and Liz Bentley on Saturday 3 December and up-and-coming-nearly-there young award-winning traditional folk singer Ewan McLennan on Saturday 28 January with two support singers to be confirmed but who will probably also be up-and-coming young local artists. All - doors open 7pm, live music starts 8pm, advance tickets available for John Otway and Ewan McLennan at http://www.wegottickets.com/thegooseisout, tickets for this Saturday ?6 on the door only. If you want to see the Goose continue at the Ivy House, do come down and support us there! And yeh - great food, and real ale! :)-D

Not what you asked, but don't use 1&1, their customer service is terrible.

Bullying also happens on forums like this one, and is often quite subtle. However over time a pattern often emerges. Young people are more vulnerable to the effects of bullying I guess, and less equipped to deal with it, but I think grown adults deliberately targeting others to bully is foul. I used to run a bullying and harassment helpline, and I would like to think/hope that bullies do not realise the profoundly stressful impact they can have on their victims.
