People are away during the Summer, plus many people prefer to sit outside rather than inside on light Summer evenings.

Why does the Co-op never have any food on the shelves?

Greyhound does terrible food. Worst Sunday lunch I have ever had in my life, in fact probably the worst meal. I'm amazed to see people recommending it here. Herne bad in other ways but yes is family friendly, just avoid having any dealings with the manager. I'd try Franklins or the Mag .....

maxxi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > no - same tat but no divvy. xxxxxxx This just isn't true, sorry! The Co-op in Lordship Lane has a much better range of things than Somerfield ever had, including a lot of Fair Trade items. They also have very good special offers sometimes. It's far from perfect, but it's unfair to call it tat. And there is divvy - as I said above, I just got over eleven quid, which I can get paid straight into my bank account. And I don't do my main shop there, just odds and ends. You have to join their membership scheme and get a card, however, and use it when you buy stuff, obviously, before you are eligible for divvy. -

It doesn't never have any food on its shelves :)) Sometimes it has quite a lot :)) -

Mrs Nicklin Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can someone please take it to a vet to check for > a microchip? I will if I can find it! xxxxxxx It's not clear to me that it is actually a stray. What actual evidence is there for this?

:))

I have seen the cat a few times around North Cross Road, and apart from coming up for a stroke which many cats do, it didn't appear to be in distress to me spencertracy. And I say this as someone who has at different times taken in two "stray" cats which turned out not to be strays at all :-$ Including one which I was assured by a builder its owner had moved without it. What made you think it was in distress?

I think it's unlikely in the extreme that the Woodland Trust would be sending out people to knock on doors. But you could always phone them to ask .....

Can get a bus there from Lordship Lane. But the music on its website puts me off :)) Would I be subjected to that all through the meal???

There's already one just down the road, why would they open another one here?

Was there any particular reason why it was thought to be lost? It looks quite healthy and didn't appear to be in any distress.

Does that cat not belong to The Actress? It was in and out of the Actress yesterday lunchtime.

All blackbirds sing early in the morning as far as I know. If a tree hasn't got a leaf on it by this time of year, I'd say it was very very dead :))
