The Rosendale Road tip has all changed since I last used it. It only takes recyclable stuff, for a start.

Is there some length of time a house has to remain empty before it can be legally squatted? My house has sometimes been empty for a few months in the past, and the prospect of squatters never occurred to me :-$ Maybe they would reject it as far too small :))

Is East Dulwich up for a Photo / Arts festival?
Sue replied to darrelkmorris's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We already met up with Darrell, so I was disappointed to hear that not enough local venues are interested. If anything does eventually come of this, either via him or via any others who have posted on this thread, the Goose would be interested in being involved in providing music. www.thegooseisout.com We have a growing list of excellent local musicians, and one idea which was discussed was to have some of them playing appropriate background music at some of the festival venues. -

It was a minor spill of acid in North Cross Road, according to the policeman standing watch. Though why a container of acid should have been in the road for a car to run over, God knows.

Someone's posted it on Facebook, so it must be true :)

I think it's a great use of budget. Anyway, they can't have cost very much, relatively.

Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Who the feck would want to live in a tower block > in the Elephant & Castle? I mean really, it's a no > brainer. It's shit. xxxxxxx But there's a whole regeneration plan for the area, with lots of greenery and trees etc, isn't there? I think property prices there will continue to rise as the area improves, and it's excellent for transport links. I wouldn't want to live there now, but in five or ten years time I might.

Now I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you She tied you To a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Baby I have been here before I know this room, I've walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew you. I've seen your flag on the marble arch Love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah There was a time you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? And remember when I moved in you The holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah You say I took the name in vain I don't even know the name But if I did, well really, what's it to you? There's a blaze of light In every word It doesn't matter which you heard The holy or the broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you And even though It all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah -
My passport expired in December. Can I still renew it, or do I have to make a completely fresh application? Also, if I can renew it, can I wait till I'm actually going abroad or is there a time limit within which you have to renew? Anyone know? Edited to say: Gobsmacked at the fee :-S

The Actress was a joke, because of The Bishop. It wasn't a serious suggestion - I think :)
