And detrimental to this particular street environment - in my opinion. Well it may not physically harm anyone, but judging by what's on the Excel spread sheet, it is likely to raise my blood pressure every time I pass it, and darken my day considerably :-$
  7. You do that often, do you WMTD?? WOOF :))
  8. Oh come on, fess up, this is all a load of b******s, isn't it, a bit like the Eastern European brothel we were treated to a while back :)) Edited to say: The "HONESTLY" is a bit of a give away :)) Edited again to say: If it all turns out to be true I will slink away and hide in a hole for a few hours ......

I used to live on an organic farm, and the farmers used it. They also used a mainstream vet when necessary. It must have worked or they wouldn't have continued to use it. Bit like magnotherapy - people slag it off, generally because they haven't tried it, but it works on dogs, horses etc - was even used on an elephant at the zoo if I remember right. "All in the mind"? Yeh, sure, the dogs are going "Oooh, I've got a magnet on my collar - ooh, my arthriticy (spelling) legs are better - oooh, must be due to the magnet." :))
  10. Nah, best on its own. The sloe gin, that is.
  11. Yeh, not as good as it was before. A few good lines though. But Jamesie isn't credible really any more, got too old. Shame. Still a lot better than most of what's on tellie though, not that I'd know as I hardly ever watch it :))
  12. bil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > > Adding some fun and colour is always a good thing. > xxxxxxxx Nope. Definitely not. Not if it's inappropriate to the place it's added to.

Anyway enough of this, Rab C Nesbitt about to start on BBC2!

  18. But that's just stupid, the whole point of homoeopathy is that it's minute doses. You can't possibly overdose, it doesn't work like mainstream medicine. Is that supposed to be the point?
  19. Perhaps we should all turn up on their consulation day and give our views. I intend to. And not only because the Palmerston has a nice draught cider. Though not as nice as Franklins :))
  20. On a sloe bush thing Sloe bush
  21. Life's too short, lol. Just grit your teeth and wear the spex :)) Now, if you were short-sighted like me you could have super duper varifocal contact lenses, best invention since - oh, the last best invention. No need for reading glasses at all! Hurrah! Well, except in very dim light :-$ Edited to say: I believe if you have lasered eyes for short sight you will still need reading glasses as you get older, though I may be completely wrong.

  24. thexwinglessxbird Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > This is tacky. > > xxxxxxxxxx Yes I think that's a large part of the problem. I went past the wall today, and was looking back along the street. Basically, this proposed "design" just doesn't fit in with the feel of the rest of North Cross Road. It's the sort of thing you'd have in a shopping centre (well I wouldn't, but it would be more appropriate there). Has anybody asked the shopkeepers in North Cross Road what they think about this?
