  4. I use eBay quite a bit as a buyer, and the only minor problem I've ever had was with fairy lights which came with the wrong adaptor which was unsafe to use in this country. The seller disputed it but I got my money back. Everything else I've bought I've felt was good value, particularly new shoes (genuine) which I've got for a lot less than I'd have got them in a high street shop. However I must admit I have a few things which have been kicking about for years because I've not got round to putting them on eBay - anyone want a Tibetan/Nepalese tangka?!
  5. Walking the Dog - Rufus Thomas
  6. Oh come on, surely somebody else but me must have seen it and thought it was a bit, er, odd. No??

It's a > doddle. xxxxxxx Don't drive?! You obviously don't end up at the checkout with a zillion bags full of stuff you don't really need but it's all so cheap but you end up spending enormous amounts of money and no way could you get it back on public transport. :))

  18. SteveT Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Moos wrote:- I would have so hated living in the > 60s. > xxxxxxxxxxxx Living in the 60s was great :)) Better than the bloody 00s. Well I was forty years younger, for a start :))
  19. I go Lordship Lane, Sydenham Hill, Crystal Palace Parade, straight on down Queen's Road, left down South Norwood Hill, right onto White Horse Lane, right down Thornton Heath High Street to the clock tower, left past Thornton Heath Station to the end of that road, right to Thornton Heath Pond (a few yards on from where you turn right), turn left there then straight run through to Ikea. Not forgetting to call at the Chinese supermarket and/or Wyevale's (bit further on where the old Purley Way swimming pool used to be). Edited to add: Gone this route loads of time, never had any problems Edited again to add: I've been to Ikea on a Friday night and it was virtually empty

It wasn't till much later that I realised there must have been a sewage outlet there, quite near the shore too, YUK, don't know how none of us became sick :X
  23. I once had a courier leave a parcel on the wall outside my house, and of course it was nicked. The funny thing was, it contained a book whose title was something like "How to Get Things For Free". :))
  24. Ah - I must be going there at the wrong time of day or week or something then, I haven't seen any in there for months! Or organic veg??
