  5. Why the objection? The bit of Melford Road at the Lordship Lane end was constantly jammed up with cars and buses trying to get past each other, and often not succeeding. It is far too narrow for traffic going both ways when you've got cars parked in the road as well, surely? And there's a bend in the road at that end, too, which made things worse.
  6. Their chips are good! Edited to say: Nun's Head not the Duke, though the Duke did at one point have extraordinarily good chips, at an extraordinarily high price :)

(td) xxxxxxxxx Well we're all different, and forums are full of different kinds of people who post in different ways. Bit like life really. Should we exclude everybody from the forum who doesn't fit in with our idea of what forum posters should be like? Would be very dull, no?
  15. Well that got immediately lounged - so much for my bid to help the single people of ED :-S

SimonM Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > >?29.90 for 25kg, free delivery > That is cheap - are they shelled? xxxxxxx Yes - do a search on eBay, it's item number 120407721929, Economy wild bird peanuts. Seller is misscardigan (but a search on that won't find it). Alternatively www.wildbirdfood.uk.com - same seller but not on eBay, but has a very wide range of well-priced bird food.
  22. Just found she's started doing them again so just ordered more peanuts, only trouble is I have to watch for squirrels ripping open the bird feeder and leaving whole peanuts about which baby birds can choke on. ?29.90 for 25kg, free delivery :) My mouse died, hope they don't attract more :-S

  25. Sorry admin not sure which section to post this in, or indeed what to call the thread. We've become aware that there are people who would like to go to Goose gigs but who are not too keen to go by themselves. I can really sympathise as I used to be in the same position when wanting to go to music events but having noone to go with. We'd like to try to help so if you mention at the door that you're by yourself, we'll try to introduce you to others who have also come alone. We'll do our best not to make this too obvious or cause you any embarrassment! Alternatively, if you PM me or contact me via the Goose website (see below) before the gig you want to come to, I'll try to put you in touch with others beforehand, so you can make arrangements to meet. Would also mean that you get to meet people with the same musical interests as yourself!
