  1. 😭😭😭
  2. I was on the second march, with my partner and adult daughter. On the way back, just near Trafalgar Square, sopping wet and looking for somewhere to eat, I was shoved hard with an open umbrella by a woman who shouted at me and called me a cretin and a murderer 🙄
  3. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  4. Interesting, but a bit like TrustPilot, people are probably more likely to bother to leave a review if they've had a terrible experience than if they've had a good one?
  5. Oh dear, poor dog. Has his home been traced?
  6. I have found The Gardens very good. If you need an urgent appointment you can get a phone one the same day, and then a face to face appointment very quickly if the GP needs to examine you. If it's not urgent, yes you have to wait, particularly if you want a face to face appointment with a specific GP, but that's fair enough. I've moved practice twice in the over thirty years I've lived here, and this is by far the best of the three I've been registered with if you are in their catchment area. It is very easy to change GPs and you don't have to tell the existing practice that you are leaving.
  7. That link seems to go somewhere else completely .......
  8. Yes, I've had a PM which confirms that this Winifred previously lived (decades ago!) at the house to which the letter was delivered. My best friend at school was called Winifred. So was my Latin teacher 🤣 I missed a physio appointment because it was on the new system as a video appointment, when it was actually face to face. I had phoned that morning to confirm it was video, because I thought it was strange, as I hadn't been told this when I booked it. I was assured that yes it was. Both the physio and I completely wasted our time - him waiting in a room for me to turn up, me being told online when on the video link that my appointment was delayed - I gave up waiting after twenty minutes "delay" 😡 Then when I phoned to find out what was going on, the physio reception had closed The physio phoned me the next day to apologise and make a new appointment, but it clearly wasn't his fault.
  9. Yes it is. That would explain it, thank you. This new system seems to be experiencing rather a lot of what could most kindly be called "teething problems" 🙄
  10. A possibly urgent letter has been sent to her at the wrong address. Please PM me if you know her.
  11. They used to be very good many moons ago, but the good staff seem to have left?
  12. I have just come across a letter from Royal Mail. It is dated 24 August 2023. It says "our tracking information confirms delivery of your item on 16/11/23 and I hope your item has now been received." 🤣🤣🤣 Is Royal Mail now going in for some weird form of time travel?
  13. Ah ok, yes it was the soft plastics I meant. Glad the bins for recycling those are still there! I sort of miss the old glass recycling places. Convenient as the collection from your door is, I used to enjoy the satisfying smashing sounds as I flung the bottles in 🤣
  14. No plastics recycling? Seriously? Is there anywhere else locally I can take it without having to go to the council place off the Old Kent Road? I haven't seen a recycling bin for plastics in M&S lately either, but the ones in Sainsbury's had more capacity, and I save mine up until I have a big load to take at once.
  15. Damn only just seen this. Tu have some gems sometimes 👍
  16. Not being funny, but if you Google the manual, make sure you spell it correctly - it's Vaillant! Also, a boiler maintenance person might be willing to tell you over the phone how to adjust the pressure, especially if you have used him/her before. It's usually quite simple provided he also tells you what the pressure should be! I can recommend Tommy Rooney https://www.trooneyheating.co.uk/about
  17. Yes, well, they were privatised, weren't they. So shareholders get the money which should be used to pay staff more and improve services to the public. Same as terrible privatised train services, privatised water companies dumping 💩 in our seas and rivers, etc etc etc.
  18. 😭😭😭 Did you complain/feed back your thoughts to them?
  19. The library is round the corner of M&S, down a little side road (I think the road is called Railway Rise). Its door isn't actually on Grove Vale. It used to be once, but that was when the library was on the other side of the road. It moved.
  20. Apparently Lloyds Direct are now merged (?) with Pharmacy2U
  21. I suggest again Lloyds Direct, as I haven't been over impressed with other local pharmacies I have tried ... Two posters outside Lloyds with rather different messages. Laugh or cry ? 😂😭
  22. What was given as the cause of the subsidence, and how was it dealt with (as it hasn't recurred)?
