  1. I wonder if there is a parallel thread to this on the Leeds forum? "Does anyone know where to get some decent Focaccia? I've failed to find any since I moved up from London." "Nearest place is East Dulwich etc."
  2. There's one in the video shop but it's pretty expensive, best off joining the Library.
  3. http://route1to499.wordpress.com/ Could it be?
  4. 10 points if you see one of the vans. 100 points if you see one in use, with customers. 1000 points if you see one getting painted. I love the red vans.

  6. Is it not the climax of rowdy St David's Day celebrations in the Welsh district?
  7. In a bizarre twist, I had ?101 credited to my account in India before they then took ?150. Nice work.
  8. Hmm, I got done today too. Nice wake up call from HSBC saying some nice fellow in India had withdrawn ?140. Most of the last week's transaction were made in Islington where the Mrs lives, but I have been in DKH Sainsbury a few times over the last few weeks. Cheeky.
  9. Nope, but I have now. I'll stick to my trad anglo date format I think.
  10. Not wishing to sound like a git, but I think you must mean 01/01/2008 macroban? By my understanding, there are not 2008 days in January and it is not 2001. /pedantic.
  11. Shocking service when I went in there, kept running out of beers, nachos were out of a packet, waiter refused to remove the service charge too. The one up in New Cross is much more fun and really quite cheap, cocktails are ?3.75 or so really good.
  12. I live in fear of a bus vomit. I just know one of these days I'll be that fella.
  13. You chaps may find use for this little web site.
  14. Hello all, I'm moving into the area in the next week or so and in reading up on Dulwich stumbled across this rather pleasant forum, very interesting reading your thoughts. On the subject of the Plough, a friend and I arrived on Lordship lane to have a look at a flat I was thinking about moving into, he didn't really need to come in so we agreed to meet in the Plough just over the road once I was finished. Upon arriving at the pub I was greeted by the most exclusive of requests to see my invitation. "Invitation?" Said I, "I'm sorry, is this a private party?". It turned they were having a dry run before opening night the following day. I explained I was just going to have a pint with my mate who, having presumably gone through this himself 5 minutes earlier, was sitting inside with a pint and an unusually large smile upon his face. "Ok, no problem, here's a token for a free meal of your choice and any drink you like". Barely a moment passed before there were two widely smiling gentlemen stationed inside with full glasses and unbothered wallets. I took the flat.
