A friend of a friend is a paediatrician. She says tongue ties do not need to be treated, it's a fallacy. Then my lactation consultant (Clare kedves) says we should get the snip. Has anyone had it for their baby? Does it make a difference? My little ones is posterior and apparently very subtle as everyone else (docs, hvs, different paedeatriciam) didn't find it. He can stick his tongue out and all.

What about the cafe next to property in, there's works going on there. Is it just a refurb?

Has anyone had this treated privately? If so, can you recommend someone or somewhere?

First time mum, poo advice
yeknomyeknom replied to yeknomyeknom's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks everyone, I feel a bit better. Perhaps I should just ride it out. To try and help bubs I have tried everything going, fennel tea, mint tea, infacol, gripe, giving up dairy, drinking unfiltered apple juice, taking magnesium citrate. Not all at once :) I'm going to add probiotics into the mix, thanks Saffron. -
First time mum, poo advice
yeknomyeknom replied to yeknomyeknom's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks. I believe I may have an oversupply so feed for about 3 feeds on one side at a time but this doesn't seem to help. I think it's oversupply as baby sometimes gulps and chokes or bobs around. Block feeding seems to help this a bit, but no change in the poo. -
Hi all, sorry the subject is a little graphic. My 10 week old (exclusively breast fed) baby has had dark green nappies with mucous for over 2 weeks. I know baby poo can be runny but I would still say this is diarreah. He has poo in nearly every nappy change. He seems happy and normal in the day (no temperature), but always wakes in the night with extreme grunting until I give in at 5.30 and help him out by taking his nappy off, and raising his legs, to get all the bad stuff out. I have been to the doctor 3 times to ask about this. First was brushed off, second was told to submit baby stool sample, third was referred to a paediatrician. Problem is, the lab technician is on holiday so sample will take 5 wks!!! And apparently a pediatrician appointment will take even longer. This seems a long time to let baby suffer. I gave up dairy 2 days ago to see if that helps. Anyone else experienced this? Anyone know any local paediatricians that work privately?

My midwife has recommended craniopathy for my newborn as a possible aid to reducing reflux/wind. Has anyone else tried this and could recommend a practitioner in dulwich somewhere?

Jennings road nearly burgled
yeknomyeknom replied to yeknomyeknom's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
No, we don't have an alley. We do have builders working near us so the the police suspect the burglars somehow used this to their advantage, what with having bricks and ladders galore left out. -
Hi, Just to let our neighbours know we had someone try to break in to our house on Monday night at about 1.30am. Fortunately our dog growled at the back door so we went to see what was going on and saw someone rattling the handle and staring in the window. Even more fortunately, they ran off. On further investigation, the police have said it looks like a few attempts might have been made on sat and sun night, judging by the state of the lock. Just want to let you all know to be extra vigilant when locking up at night. We are mid terrace so not easy to access.

Flew to Vegas, drove convertible through death valley to San Francisco then hired Harley to visit big sur and ride the west coast down to LA. Booked my sisters honeymoon also. Flew to Miami for a few nights then on to harbour island in Eleuthera. Harbour island is home to the worlds only pink sand beach with wild ponies roaming free. No cars on the island, just golf carts.

Depending on the film choice, we would be there once or twice a week.

Is anyone else being bothered by a small white car "parking" on Jennings road for about 5 minutes every night at 2.45am?

Appartment/ Short break in Paris - Recommendations
yeknomyeknom replied to andypandy's topic in The Lounge
I went there this weekend. i-escape.com recommends good apartments. I actually stayed in the Ibis Montparnasse Bienvenue as it was about ?50 night, super cheap, fab location but basically a travelodge. Montparnasse is a great location. Nightlife, restaurants, on the metro linking to lots of key tourist attractions. We are going again and spending a bit more in November and staying in Mama Shelter near the Laichesse Cemetrary. Montparnasse is good at night. St Michael is great at night and good for not touristy, cheaper dinner. My favourite area of all, at night, is Rue Marche St Honore. A short walk from Louvre. Right by Opera. There are several great places to eat at night there. Enjoy! -

Hi, it's my birthday on May 4th and a whole bunch of stuff I was going to do in town is closed on this day. I know ED well but was wondering if anyone had any ideas for anything special I could do locally on the Monday day or evening in ED or nearby areas. I also have guests coming this day so would like to impress them a little. Thanks.

Hi, has anyone noticed that the record shop below the Cafe on Lordship Lane seems to have something going on on weekend evenings? Has anyone been down there? Is it just the owner and his mates or is something fun happening down there?

New shop? (Near the flower shop and Moxons)
yeknomyeknom replied to yeknomyeknom's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I thought it was the tire shop on the corner (opporsite Franklins) that was going to be the new bakery? If I am wrong, does anyone know what the tire shop is going to be in that case? -
Hello, Do you allow little dogs?

That reminds me, does anyone know where the nearest Catholic church is to Goose Green? Is there one nearby at all? I couldn't find one last time I looked.
