  1. Most prolific place for sloes is the park by Beauberry House whose name escapes me.
  2. I sometimes wonder why I know this stuff... You read too many dubious books. Next you'll be giving guided tours of GCHQ.
  3. At least Dave won't sue you: http://www.morningadvertiser.co.uk/General-News/Customer-in-legal-threat-over-conker
  4. Thanks uncleg. It makes no sense now since both posts have been moved. Not that it made any sense to start with. How witty one seems after a glass or two.
  5. http://lunaf.com/english/live-data/moon-phase/
  6. I was there just after road blocked off (have to get cigs somewhere at that time). Witnesses said it was a huge fight that had spilled out from the pub - no one mentioned shooting.
  7. How do you lot make it to Bluewater in 30 Mins? It takes me that long to get to Blackheath. Not that I intend to go there, but I regularly drive down to Kent.
  8. I'm not musical, but would respectfully suggest, Jah, that you are missing a 'der'. Not your day is it?
  9. Ah, Sue! I remain Watson to your Sherlock *bows deeply*
  10. Dazzer's spelling is strangely reminiscent of Da Manager's.
  11. You dirty rat. Take care of mom for me.
  12. On the PM page click on the 'subject' box at the top of the page - this will put ticks in all the boxes. Scroll down to bottom of page and press 'delete'. if you don't want to delete them all, click in each box that you do want to remove, then press 'delete'.
  13. Having a lazy afternoon watching the Young Montalbano, with the obligatory wine to make it authentically Italian. Had to stop the show several times to look up recipes and found this amusing blog: http://dianescookbooks.wordpress.com/2013/09/04/a-montalbano-menu-mostly-fish/
  14. i did it years ago following MSE advice and got a lower band. You can see what other houses/flats in your street pay for council tax and estimate whether it will be granted.
  15. i went to school in Rochester. I can tell you the best places to bunk off and the finest pubs!
  16. The stools are the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on - guess that ensures quick turn around. Bar staff lovely, had snacks which were ok but not what I was expecting. Lunch time menu was still on display which led to some confusion. To be fair, I was in a hurry, would like to go back when I have more time, but I would take a thick jumper to fold up under my bottom. ETA these comments refer to Refreshment Rooms, not trendy Lot 9.
  17. Competition from fireworks at 1.40 am today. Thanks for waking me up, arseholes.
  18. \who goes oh, oh, oh? Father Christmas walking backwards.
  19. Westminster Boating Base?
  20. Robin Hood, 'son' of Herne the Hunter.
  21. "Thursdays in the Park" by Hilary Boyd Crap, crap, crap, CRAP!
  22. For Pete's sake, Landbeyondthewardrobe, use a bloody apostrophe when appropriate. Will get my initial on this thread, or burst trying.
  23. Fair play to Australia. By declaring they have set up an exiting finish to the series.
  24. Beans are a morally dubious choice: The Pythagorean code further restricted the diet of its followers, prohibiting the consumption or even touching of any sort of bean. It is probable that this is due to their belief in the soul, and the fact that beans obviously showed the potential for life
  25. Anyone else think Lyon has an incredibly inelegant action? Doesn't stop him getting a maiden over, mind.
