  1. Be thankful we're not in Connemara - it's Mohune Central there. Flooding has caused graves to rip open and spill contents.
  2. Don't forget that quite a few would have been paupers' graves which would have several bodies and/ or be reused again quite quickly.
  3. Try getting a quote for fully comp. It usually works out cheaper than TPF&T.
  4. You've missed Sainsburys selling hot cross buns in January.
  5. Have you tried it with full insurance quote, not third party, fire and theft. For some bizarre reason it's usually cheaper to do the former. If you can add a named driver over 25 (a friend will do) it can bring the price down. Also, go for as high an excess as you can afford (eg, 500/1000).
  6. What a shambles. The best I can find to say is that the stumps were very pretty.
  7. Hello Bagpuss. You've made me feel all nostalgic for a game of badminton.
  8. I have no idea - we were several drinks down at the time. When I next see her I will ask.
  9. This is Louisa: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1241222
  10. Who you gonna call? I guess that would be Louisa and her chum.
  11. Had a drink with GP friend this afternoon - she reckons they're carcinogenic. I tried one once, it tasted disgusting. Why don't you take up obscenely expensive cigars and just have one a month?
  12. I recall Mike Atherton not being very good at winning tosses too. Not sure I would keep KP in the side. Despite his useful 49 in the last innings, I just don't think he's a team player and he's too mercurial. Given Carberry's run rate, might as well have Compton back. With the exception of Monty (whom I adore), would it be too radical to suggest we start again with a whole new team?
  13. It's very mysterious that MysteriousBritain has the wrong location for Kings on the Rye on their map. Perhaps they are not too concerned with truth and accuracy.
  14. Have you never watched "Bambi", woman?
  15. *hides "Razzle" behind throne and reverently dusts it down for Her Mumness"
  16. Happy Christmas all.
  17. Catkins are already out on the hazels.
  18. I love a good euphemism.
  19. I'm with the OP - I slipped the other day on leaves alongside St John's church. Not fun - very serious.
  20. At least this Little Ern will always belong to England http://lh3.ggpht.com/-1fwCeW2aYt0/T2fKjUvu-GI/AAAAAAAAnzU/vBLPONK_hRw/Ernie%252520Wise%252520cameo%2525204a_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800
  21. I go to bed earliesh - about 9/10 - sleep for about 4/5 hours. I can't go back to sleep once I wake, so get up for a few hours then go back to bed about 5/6 am for a few more hours. Don't start work until 10 am. That's what normally happens, but at the mo with the cricket on, I'm staying up longer. After five days, it does get a bit much. Anyway, Prior's just got out so I may go and bury my head under a pillow.
  22. Go for laptop. I'm using daughter's old netbook at mo - it's ok but laptop more user friendly and bigger screen is easier on the eye. Only advantage of netbook I can see is if you want to take it to lectures to type notes as it is small and lightweight. She upgraded to laptop for uni with an inheritance and much prefers it.
  23. Would have thought the changed figure should be initialled and dated to be legally binding - did that happen?
  24. We were doing fine when I went to bed. Just as well I can put new ones on now.
  25. Right. I've done the night shift, off to bed now. Who wants the lucky pants?
