I too looked on web and was surprised by quite a lot of affordable stuff (you can select under tenner section). I have a needle and a bottle of cochineal.
guitars - tin pan alley ps to all those guitar freaks - was in same school year as Tony Zematis's son (also Tony). Went round to his house - his dad just had his workshop tacked on to the back of their bungalow. Amazing stuff.

What I'd find helpful is a week's menu plan. Always have good intentions but invariably end up dithering in shops. My criteria are cheap and not too hot.
