  1. Don't worry Annasfield - Sean's got me down as 58!
  2. In my experience collars are dangerous - my cat returned with two missing and the last with his leg through it! Even with correctly fitting collars they can kill a cat (don't go putting them on Muttley!) which is why chipping is best.
  3. Sean Hughes is v funny and sexy. If the hat fits ...
  4. Dom's post made me laugh. I do think we have our knickers in a twist about cats a bit. I have one so I am a lover but it is in their nature to go walkabout. I think they should be missing for at least a week before posting on here/trees, etc. One week locked in a shed without food is not going to do them much harm (unless on medication). What might be more useful is to come up with a scheme that alerts owners when their cat has been run over. Are they just picked up by the roadsweeper? Do they have chip scanning facilities? It's always tough when your pet dies but harder when there is no explanation for their disappearance.
  5. Dear PSTWS I live near the Gowlett and it is definitely in Peckham. The border is E Dulwich Road. [please make up with Big Mo - it is nearly Christmas] Dear Bob Don't you think Peckham Rye BR Station is misnamed and confusing. It's nowhere near the Rye, half of which is SE22. I do know many people who live in Peckham and cringe when they say they live in East Dulwich [be loud and proud Eric]. But, at the end of the day, (or for SE22 residents: when the gloaming wraps Lordship Lane in her cloak), it doesn't really matter. Peace, love and goodwill to all.
  6. So - who actually likes Marseilles' strip? ed. for spelling!
  7. Good for the roses - plant a bush in memory.
  8. I once went to see Denny Laine: he was so stoned he had to be manhandled to the keyboard - did his one famous song - and manhandled off again. Luckily the rest of the band held the evening together.
  9. There is a slow, creeping in from other roads going on near Rye Lane. New shop just opened in Choumert Road a stone's throw away. It's arty/furnitury/etcery sort of place. Fingers crossed this is just the beginning. (sorry - off-thread I know)
  10. The phantom curry promoter tickled me
  11. But the insurance on subsidence is prohibitive!
  12. Contender for best review of the year in Best Review of the Year must surely go to Brendan's sublime gig report.
  13. Maybe we need to start a non premier thread? I rarely contribute on here (which goes against my nature!) cos it's just not relevant/interesting. [ducks] By which I mean I don't give a fig about Spurs, Chelsea, Man U, etc.
  14. Brendan, I'll be happy to explain the hot water joke over a pint.
  15. Psst - noone's looking, get the Foxton flyers out.
  16. Have fun. Wake me up for the cricket.
  17. Declan - the British Museum have some. Not sure who they belong to.
  18. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp_hw-Fzqfw youtube is a bit light on Alexis Corner but this will have to do.
  19. Glad you cleared that up - I thought it was asking for a boon.
  20. Don't worry Brendan, I believe you will find Olivia Newton John in Xanadu - she can soothe your brow. http://images.askmen.com/imagesmusician/2002_dec/olivia_newton_john/olivia_newton_john_150.jpg
  21. You could use real chicken stock - will give it oodles more flavour.
  22. For all those soft-hearted dog owners: http://www.berroco.com/images/exclusives/am/buster/buster_lg.jpg instructions to make your own here: http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/buster/buster.html
