As an aside, I loathe Facebook and Twitter - I don't get and don't want to, but have to admit that as a tool for spreading the word in an emergency, it is bloody marvellous.
Thanks Pugwash. Don't apologise; any scenario is being considered. Mr Connelly's bank card was left at home along with his bus pass and passport but it is a good idea to look at his bank withdrawals recently. The police have been marvellous and are considering everything.
The Waterloo sighting wasn't as credible as the Police first thought. Not completely ruled out, but not as reliable as first believed. Looking anywhere is worth a shot.
Thanks Liz - I will ask my daughter, she does technical stuff like that, I haven't a clue about social networking. Alas, muffins he left his freedom pass, wallet, passport etc at home. TfL is a good suggestion.
Not to my knowledge. We do not think that he could have made it that far because of his legs. But my daughter did want to check it. so maybe that would be another place to look?
Thanks Mufins78. We know that the nunhead cemetery, peckham rye, belair park, brenchly garden areas are good any local to the nunhead peckham area would be great.
Earl of Dulwich and muffins78 what a fantastic idea. if you could organise something like that it would be amazing! Please do let me know if you have any more ideas. Thank you once again to everyone
Jenny the street cleaner in Lordship Lane has leaflets and she is letting her colleagues know. Similar bods in Waterloo were wonderfully helpful. Local churches of all denominations are being so helpful. Local buses that we can catch are displaying the poster and have been stalwarts. Dial a ride we haven't thought of and will pursue. Thank you.
fazer71, stop being a dick, Worse things happen at sea or even closer to home. Your schoolboy whinge is really pissing me off. For the record, I like Kevin McCloud.
Thanks for help everyone. We have approached local radio stations but they've been a bit ploppy. Using the Irish media sounds a good tactic. We'll give that a try. Connacht Tribune is the local rag. If anyone has personal contacts, please would you pull some strings.
Two places that haven't specifically been covered are Athenlay football field and the golf course. If anyone is in those areas, would be grateful if they could have a look. Long shot I know, but it is comforting to know that we are trying everything possible.
Thank you very much to everyone for the support. We are still trying to get more media coverage so if anyone has any contacts or ideas we would very much appreciate it. Thank you again
There have been searches in Brenchley Gardens and Camberwell New and Old cemeteries today. SLP are due to cover the story. If anyone has any influence with the media, we would appreciate any help.
Thank you all for everything you are doing. There will be another search tomorrow of the camberwell new cemetery and brenchly gardens area. not sure of a time as of yet. my daughter has the information on her twitter account @beebee1475 if that helps? I will keep you updated as and when i know anything more. thank you again x
