  1. susier, just that time of year. My cats keep killing juvenile rats at the mo - one of those London thangs.
  2. 'Wet Spam'! Simon, I love you.
  3. Nothing beats folding the paper and doing the crossword. Not at all the same online. [Just hate the bastards when they sell the whole back page for advertising and you have to struggle to get to the crossword]
  4. Quids, there's nothing wrong with picnics, you've just been going to the wrong point-to-points.
  5. Never had you down for a foolish virgin hibbs.
  6. Would that be the pollka or an eight piece reel?
  7. Can' remember. Trawl The Telegraph gardening section, it had a piece about it.
  8. Leave it until October, then try.
  9. If he likes animals, he could volunteer at Vauxhaull or Surrey Docks City Farms.
  10. Here you go: Southwark Summer University
  11. Curdled cream! How lovely that we have a dairy back in SE15. Nymphs and Shepherds come awhey ....
  12. How many points if I get Rolf Harris?
  13. Who bought all the copies? My newsagent said he had run out by 9 am this morning.
  14. I'd second AC's suggestion with modifications. Use Kir or liqueur of choice rather than vinegar. Get the meringues from Andersons(?) on Bellenden Road - absolutely scrumptious and cheaper than elsewhere. And just whipped double cream will do. Voila - a posh Eton Mess.
  15. While you're fired up, George, do you think you could get the cricket back on terrestrial tv please?
  16. 'Is it not?' Come on Alan M., you can't be that square.
  17. I hate to draw attention to the D.Mail, but they have a low down on four peeps who followed the diet. Three seem to be for it, one against. Dieticians seem to be against other than for a short-term kick, as a heavily protein-biased diet is not seen as a very healthy option.
  18. Do I have to lose three trombones?
  19. Have you been going through my bins, Loz?
  20. 'Mentee' What ignorant arse started that one?
  21. Southbank good for a wander. Start at Westminster Bridge and mooch up to London Bridge - lots to see on the way and as cheap or expensive as you want to make it.
  22. Can you post the proposed design on here? I couldn't access the plan. I love seeing kids play cricket on the lower end, it would be a shame if that were stopped.
  23. It doesn't cost anything to join a library. If you go on the Southwark Council website, they have a library section which will probably tell you what id you need.
  24. Alas no, it sounds wonderful. (Are you quite sure it didn't answer to the name of Captain Flint?) The best I've ever seen is someone walking their ferret on a collar and lead round Peckham Rye Park.
