  1. This is what happens when parking enforcement is run for profit, rather than effect. The shareholders of APCOA (Airport Parking Company of America) must be feeling the pinch of late.
  2. Aren't proper dropped kerbs marked with a white line with t-bars?
  3. Bad road manners from the biker. But I really think the flashing green man should be a flashing red man. The amount of people who step out when then should hold back, is frightening.
  4. What bike was it? Reg etc. I'll keep an eye out too. Had mine nicked from Hansler Road in the summer.
  5. Have a word with their Daddies.
  6. Here's Lordship Lane after the V1 attack on the Co-op:
  7. There's not enough weekday lunchtime trade for a fast-turnaround multi-sitting joint like Wagas. It won't happen.

  9. Good condition, ?10
  10. Were the Southwark camera cars watching? That's their patch.
  11. ?55m would just about cover the consultation. Couldn't the old Eurostar spur at Wandsworth Road station be used? Denmark Hill to Waterloo would get you 200m away from St Thomas' and a short hop away from Guys. What's with the hospital connection anyway? An easier sell?
  12. Will they run trambulances? Sorry.
  13. The music was from the Dulwich Ukelele lot. Consider it a free performance!

  15. There are cameras just 100m away, north of the junction. Sunbob is correct, green traffic lights give a false sense of priority and cause cars to speed. Whenever lights are broken, traffic crosses junctions with care and using eye contact, one of the pillars of the safestreets movement.
  16. Failing to report an accident, more than just naughty: points and a fine or even a ban. Good work!
  17. ...because I left my very expensive hand-sculpted orthopaedic insoles in them! They look like tatty old insoles, with edges ground down. The Converse were left at the big Hospice shop on Lordship Lane last week. A long shot, I know!
  18. My trusty old Honda CBR600F. Yellow and turquoise, reg T626JGN. Last seen parked up in Hansler Road, near Dell's on Friday lunchtime. Anyone see anything dodgy?
  19. Inside72 did a great Sunday roast too. *wipes saliva from chin*. What was that short-lived place where Gourmet Burger is now? The East Dulwich Bistro? Looked like a bar on a cross channel ferry.
  20. James, average speed cameras won't stop motorists from driving through the zebra crossing. It would probably make it worse. The souuthend camera set-up covers the sea front road, not an urban road with many turn offs. And I still believe these big brother like devices are more likely to cause distraction - a bigger cause of accidents than speed - by forcing drivers to keep looking at their speedo rather than the road. A couple of table top crossings is the solution, like the new one on LL.
  21. Yep, on Hansler and elsewhere in SE22 too: http://www.streetartnews.net/2012/05/stik-new-murals-in-london-part-iv.html

    Geocache

Haven't seen the Peckham rye one yet, but found one of the two cashes in Dulwich wood yesterday. The kids loved it.
