  1. If he asks to take you up the Oxo Tower on a first date then just say no... you have to get to know him better first.
  2. I do this journey alot and Dorothy's route is probably the quickest but it all depends on the traffic and knowing all of them above means you can chop and change. my experience they are all pretty much of a muchness. sometimes i even go down the Purley Way and then join the M25 there and to get to the M3 junction only takes an hour from ED. dont go the Vauxhall Bridge route though - thats really slow.
  3. Yes I noticed. They just randomly pick spots though I think different days.
  4. i dont think I've ever washed my cycling gloves... I feel dirty now.

  7. I will be stripping mine of their casing and cooking with onions, prosciutto and red wine. Once cooked will turn in some parsley and ricotta and served on a pile of fusili. The missus' fave.

  9. Pickle... I just saw the new name and presumed it had become something else. I will check it out and still if they still stock what I want. DulwichFox - thanks for that. I've only seen them on a Saturday and I need the sausages for Tuesday, I should have said, but thanks anyway.

  14. For every ignorant cyclist you see whooshing through a zebra crossing there is a pedestrian blihely walking out into the middle of the road without a care in the world. Just try and stay aware when you're on the road and assume everyone is trying to kill you... ONLY THEN, people, might you survive long enough to get back on the forum and moan about what you've seen.
  15. i thought you got points for hitting pedestrians on a zebra crossing?
  16. not a veggie but I am a fan of veggie food. pumpkin, kick of chilli and a dollop of creme fraiche - just the ticket now these cold nights are kicking in... meat has to be medium rare for me. I pretty much like any cut but a rib-eye served with a caesar salad on the side is my idea of heaven. hold the fries. atkins innit.
  17. in that case... Why have steak at all? I personally like a nice pumpkin risotto from time to time. Would you like my recipe?
  18. I think the point is that the OP asked where can they go out for a steak. NOT - we thought about going out for a steak but we'd like everybody's tupenny's worth about cooking at home.

  22. well, if this is no longer "local" then may I suggest Gibsons in Chicago which smashes every other steakhouse I've been to in the WORLD into oblivion. However, Hawksmoor and Goodman are best I've had so far in London.
  23. maybe City will do one over Utd now this virus is knocking the Reds down like flies. Might be BS from red nose but be good to see Chelsea open the gap again.
