  5. Whilst at the Barry Barry Race yesterday, a few of us thought it would be nice to have a picnic in Peckham Rye Park. You can bring whatever you like for yourself to eat and drink. We will be at Peckham Rye from 3pm on 8th August in the picnic area which is just past the Japanese garden near the football pitches. Everyone welcome!!!
  6. A great day had by all I'm sure. i've only just got in and settled and i was at the plough for 1pm. Thats to surfbobby and help-ma-boab for organising and Anna for helping on the day. hope we can sort out something for next year.
  7. try walkjogrun.com. they have a cycle section. you put in the post code that you want and it will find you a route that someone else has put on
  8. he's technically obstructing the highway which the council can deal with. he has no right to block other people parking, its not his personal bay
  9. i've just seen this post. i ran on sunday. i'm afraid it was just too packed to enjoy. the lack of toilets was an issue for me for the first 4k. we asked a steward where the nearest toilets were and they directed us to the bushes. theres no music on route and no one could have enjoyed hanging around for an hour and a half to get going. not for me i'm afraid. i've been part of other events, just as busy and not had the same experience. did you guys also noticed the amount of people taken away by ambulances. i had to go find someone for one lady who collapsed near the underpass at st pauls.
  10. very glad i didnt get the upgrade. i love my 3gs anyhoo
  11. ladymuck = how would you feel about cycle lane or bus lane on every road. i dont see why we dont have this in london. it puts cyclist in their own lane and lets drivers get on. i dont know how much it would cost but dont you think it would be great for london.
  12. i second the sunday wine club suggestion. around 5 pound a bottle and absolutely amazing wine
  13. go to map my ride. i do a route called the dulwich loop. takes you through lots of parks and very little traffic problems. there are longer or shorter rides
  14. i work weird shifts so dont have regular viewing. i dont remember the last time i watched it. did you all see the coverage of the fox attacks. they started filming a random fox that was in the street and commented on whether that was the suspect. ITS A BLOODY FOX!!!!! sympathies to the family of the girls attacked of course but its a fox
  15. i saw that too. i did wonder how that was relevant. no one knows what was going on in his mind. i have emailed itv with my thoughts. i dont know if that was the best way to raise it as an issue
  16. i saw syed from eastenders. he was with his girlfriend crossing lordship lane. he was looking very very attractive
  17. Sorry but this is going to be a rant. ive just watched itv news and they reported that it has just been told that after the shooting of the cab driver, there were 3 unarmed police officers present. the report insinuated that the officers should have done something direct to stop the shootings. the reporter even went so far as to ask a victim what they thought about it. are we really suggesting that unarmed police officers would have been able to make a difference direct. the death count would have been 15 not 12. those officers would have had orders not to tackle the male direct but to get on the radio and tell others what he was doing and where he was going. the report has suggested that the officers were negligent. i'm furious does a warrant card make officers bullet proof!!!!! it doesnt help the victims to become a victim ffs
  18. i agree with Jeremy. really not a good idea to keep it on the street. it will go within a day. maybe you could advertise on here for someone with a garage nearby who will let you keep it in their garage for a fee
  19. i spoke to barry next door and he said it looks like another month.
