I went out and bought a gro anywhere blind (used to be baa baa blackout blind), but ive been told by HV that you dont really need one, as baby should get used to sleeping in the daytime. You should make daytime a clear difference between daytime and night time, ie) let light into the room, play music, hoover etc in the day, and at night be a lot more quiet, and have the light off in the room where the baby sleeps. This was the best advice ive recieved as my 8 week old baby only wakes up once in the night, allowing my to have 6 hours sleep in one go!!! BLISS!! Good luck, Simone :))

20 week scan - what do i need to bring
missse22 replied to reren's topic in The Family Room Discussion
also take a sugary drink or afew sweets, incase bubba is sleeping (or has legs crossed) a sugary drink will hype the baby up a bit, dont have the drink unless they tell you to though, but its good to have one at hand! Good luck and enjoy!! I had a baby boy 4 weeks ago!! Being a mum is the best thing EVER!!!!! :)) Simone,x -

OMG!!!! When i was in my 1st and 2nd trimester i had a serious citrus fruit craving!!! I was eating like 10 satsumas in the space of 2 hours!! And they had to be the lovely sweet ones from the vine!! Vals shop (opposite library) was doing lovely satsumas at the time....think she thought i was mad, the amount i was buying!! I am now 38 weeks pregnant, and love passion fruit!! So glad ive only craved fruit, no bad stuff!! :)) Simone -
Did you give something up to try for a baby?
missse22 replied to Sally81's topic in The Family Room Discussion
The best thing i found that helped me get pregnant was giving up alcohol 3 months prior to falling pregnant, i was on a 12 week training programme for the 'Run to the beat' half marathon!! I found out i was pregnant a week before the half marathon, but still ran it, me and my embryo (i was 6 weeks pregnant) completed the half marathon in 2 hours 12 mins...such an amazing buzz!! :)) Simone -
Thank you ;-)

Thanks for the warning :-) Ah well, what will be will be I guess...little man has to come out some way or another, so I'm just gonna embrace the challenge!! BRING IT ON! Lol,x Simone

Hey there, I'm due 22nd may, so 4 weeks to go!!! Are you going to find out what your having ? There are 3 birthing pools at kings, so I've heard? With the water birth you can only have gas and air, but that's what I'm planning on, I use the term planning loosly!! As I have never given birth before, so may end up yelling "give me the drugs!!!!" Lol!! It'll be nice to go together, xx Simone
