  1. My daughter has been attending Eos Dancing for six years now and loves it. The teachers are very good, supporting children of all abilities equally. Some pupils have made it into prestigious dance schools. It?s also very convivial -my daughter has a really strong bond with her teacher and has made friends at the school. I hope this helps.
  2. Dear Dunstans Road, Donkey Alley, Goodrich Road and Hillcourt Road neighbours, This planning application is back on... here?s the link: https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=QE48QDKBH4100&activeTab=summary Please use the link above to comment by 7th September. Thank you.
  3. Thank you, Blah Blah. It seems to be working.
  4. I?ve been commuting to London Bridge for years complaining about trains being late, overcrowded etc... Then, during lockdown, I realised how completely, ridiculously super easy it is to cycle to London Bridge (I?m not fit and hadn?t cycled for years). You?re basically on a quiet way from Peckham rye all the way to London Bridge. Try it - you won?t regret it.
  5. Hi - can someone please recommend a gyne specialising in prolapse issues? And if anyone has had surgery, I?d really appreciate some feedback. I?ve heard horror stories on Woman?s Hour... Thank you.
  6. Sorry to hear, Mary. Did the police intervene?
  7. Very shocked by the response your friend got from the police, Lilolil. I?d make an official complaint if I were her.
  8. Hi, just wanted to say I?m so glad you got Flash back. I complimented him on his new collar when he walked past me tonight. He really looked put out though! 😂
  9. Hi everyone, which shop (locally or fairly locally) would you go to for the widest range of backpacks suitable for school? Thank you.
  10. The private schools are now on holiday, which always makes a huge (the whole?) difference.
  11. Charter won?t stretch that far, I?m afraid. You have Sydenham School for girls, and Forest Hill boys. Kingsdale is a complete lottery so your postcode is irrelevant.
  12. Tallulah, our school doesn?t have space for my daughter right now. Schools are not back to normal.
  13. The behaviour is bad. I?m hearing the noise from down the street through double-glazed windows. Police and social services now involved as well as area housing office, councillors and even Helen Hayes. I don?t doubt that some trouble-makers are older. If that?s the case, one more reason to keep your well-behaved teen away from the area.
  14. As I said, it?s now in the hands of social services.
  15. I?m more concerned about kids drinking alcohol, smoking dope... I?ve now raised a safeguarding issue with the council. It?s up to them to investigate now and decide what?s safe or not for these children.
  16. Lots of new posters on this forum. Are you the parents? If so, get off the forum and look after your children.
  17. Well said, Liquorice. I live on Dunstans and can hear the noise. Appalled this is being allowed to continue. Somehow think that if it was happening in the middle of Dulwich Village, it would have been sorted already...
  18. Agree, First Mate. I?m going to call social services today.
  19. Welcome to the forum, Karen312. If they?re underage and drinking/staying out all night, it?s very simple: we?ll call social services and the parents will have to explain the lack of basic parenting.
  20. Mary, go to the App Store and download Nextdoor.you?ll be asked to enter your postcode. You?ll then see the ED police team posting about Dawson?s Hill. You can then update them on the situation in a public way which should put some pressure on getting the problem sorted.
  21. Hi Mary - the police seems quite active on the topic on the Nextdoor app, if this helps. Have you informed local councillors? I would even copy in your local MP. Also I really wouldn?t help picking up the rubbish to help the council, like a poster mentioned. You need to make it Southwark?s problem.
  22. I don?t think the fault lies with the Lew Evens staff by the way. I know they?re great. I walk past all the time, the staff look nice and professional (and tired lately) and it all looks well run.
  23. That?s worrying. Ninety-one-year-old lady with covid-19 symptoms left with no care until her family arrived in her sheltered accommodation on Underhill Road. Looks like she?s okay now, luckily. https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/91-year-old-left-with-no-care-for-24-hours-after-being-discharged-from-hospital-with-covid-19/?fbclid=IwAR0sIOfhQHyu9PFFiiOPUhTJJtAEfoNQ2LrGMIZ52xs4jmhgmUAj8mGfGHA
  24. Pugwash, there was talk last year of closing the roads around Goodrich at school drop off and pick up time. This has now been replaced with closure of the road with concrete blocks that will stay there initially for up to 18 months. I?ve come to realise that we?re not central enough here for Southwark Council and Southwark councillors to give a damn. Goodgirl, sorry to hear about your husband and how this is all making things more difficult. I do hope our councillors have the decency to get in touch with you.
