Welcome to the forum, Karen312. If they?re underage and drinking/staying out all night, it?s very simple: we?ll call social services and the parents will have to explain the lack of basic parenting.
-
Mary, go to the App Store and download Nextdoor.you?ll be asked to enter your postcode. You?ll then see the ED police team posting about Dawson?s Hill. You can then update them on the situation in a public way which should put some pressure on getting the problem sorted.
-
Hi Mary - the police seems quite active on the topic on the Nextdoor app, if this helps. Have you informed local councillors? I would even copy in your local MP. Also I really wouldn?t help picking up the rubbish to help the council, like a poster mentioned. You need to make it Southwark?s problem.

Southwark News: ED 91-year-old lady left with no care
Monkey replied to Monkey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I don?t think the fault lies with the Lew Evens staff by the way. I know they?re great. I walk past all the time, the staff look nice and professional (and tired lately) and it all looks well run. -
That?s worrying. Ninety-one-year-old lady with covid-19 symptoms left with no care until her family arrived in her sheltered accommodation on Underhill Road. Looks like she?s okay now, luckily. https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/91-year-old-left-with-no-care-for-24-hours-after-being-discharged-from-hospital-with-covid-19/?fbclid=IwAR0sIOfhQHyu9PFFiiOPUhTJJtAEfoNQ2LrGMIZ52xs4jmhgmUAj8mGfGHA

Pugwash, there was talk last year of closing the roads around Goodrich at school drop off and pick up time. This has now been replaced with closure of the road with concrete blocks that will stay there initially for up to 18 months. I?ve come to realise that we?re not central enough here for Southwark Council and Southwark councillors to give a damn. Goodgirl, sorry to hear about your husband and how this is all making things more difficult. I do hope our councillors have the decency to get in touch with you.

Oh well Rocky, there?s a massive planning application just behind my back garden - massive excavations which will cause subsidence, noise... and Southwark didn?t deem it necessary to inform me and even people who live much closer than me... No planning notice on site. And impossible to engage councillors on it. I think Southwark Council and Southwark Labour are competing in a race to the bottom.

Goose Green Councillors newsletter
Monkey replied to jamesmcash's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James, can you please encourage your fellow councillors on other wards to follow suit? It?s dispiriting to see other wards not benefitting from the same level of engagement from their councillors and ultimately makes me question why I vote Labour quite frankly. -
I hadn?t realised it?d be blocked at both ends. How will emergency services get access?
-
Thank you, Spartacus. I don?t really understand how this will sort out any of local traffic problems. All it means is that parents driving their children to school will be reversing (using residents? dropped kerbs) to avoid a long loop. This will make a dangerous situation even more dangerous.
-
I read in the Goodrich School newsletter that a new traffic barrier is going to be installed at the junction of Goodrich Road and Upland Road. I?d not heard anything about it from Southwark. Anyone knows anything about it?

Cummings?s situation was no different from other parents? except: - Cummings has family members in London. - He also has a very big house in which it?s easier than in most for members to self isolate. My neighbours with young twins and a little boy have stayed put. Looks like they?re made of stronger stuff than Cummings. The government has done a shitty job at drawing up the rules and implementing them. I?m still social distancing and honestly feel like a mug. And if you think ED was bad, what I?m hearing from my in-laws in the provinces is 10 times worse. People inviting themselves in at my in-laws, explaining to my in-laws that ?the rules don?t apply to us?, huge funerals with people mingling...

Seenbeen, what was he supposed to do? STAY HOME. Just imagine if all UK parents had hit the roads because they feared they might be sick, he even got back to the office after visiting his sick wife at the end of March. His kid went to hospital up North. He?s an idiot. And yes this distracts from other issues such as the app etc... that?s why he should resign now.
-
Seenbeen, there are many, many parents in London and luckily we didn?t all panic and fled London, spreading coronavirus. I expect politicians to have more of a backbone especially when they show very little compassion themselves. Of course, there?s always the possibility he didn?t panic and just went on a jolly...

We?re continuing to keep safe as are our friends and family and will not be sending our daughter back to school. My parents in law - who are sticking to the rules religiously and being laughed at by their neighbours and ?friends? for doing so - are very sad not to see their grandchildren. Cummings?s and Johnson?s impossibly entitled behaviour are another kick in the teeth for them. Forget the joggers and look at what?s happening at the top.
-
I can hear them now and have started noticing increased activity a few weeks ago. Probably full of people flying back to to mummy and daddy in case they get sick. We?re not governed.

Have some drivers forgotten safety?

I?ve witnessed some really bad, very fast driving as well. This is really concerning. -
Planning application - Donkey Alley/ Goodrich/ Dunstans
Monkey replied to Monkey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I?m no Victoriana aficionado but am objecting to a building that?s simply too big for the site and which requires such deep excavations. Residents of Dunstans, Goodrich, Donkey Alley and Hillcourt, deadline for comment is approaching fast. You only have a few days left (20th May according to the letter. Website states otherwise. This is Southwark after all!) Updated to communicate confusion on what the actual deadline is. -
I wanted to raise awareness of this substantial planned development on Donkey Alley, which Southwark Council has been very quiet about. Residents on Donkey Alley but also Goodrich Road and Dunstans Road should be aware. Deadline for comments is just around the corner: 25 May. https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=dates&keyVal=Q92RUFKBN3300

Dulwich Medical Centre - not answering

DMC will be useless to the end. -
I?d tell her you?ve been monitoring her property and are concerned by the strange going-ons there.

I need to speak to my son's GP - any advice?
Monkey replied to tomskip's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You?ve tried the GP. I?d try 111 again now, see what they say. Any more nonsense, I?d go to A&E early tomorrow morning.
