Yeah same here... they accepted no liability. From what I understand on Bank Charges, the OFT case was sucessful, but then on appeal the court ruled there could be a charge, but not 30 and 40 quid as banks had been charging. On PPI, the banks are in trouble on that one. They have no defence in law for mis-selling and any claim for that is likely to be successful.

I did it three years ago and got back every penny. Now I'm going after the PPI that I was mis-sold.

But other ward councillors aren't crap H and James B does use this forum to spout party politics as you well know. In fact, before the Labour councillors my ward has now, councillors that are visible, come to CC meetings and so on, we had faceless LibDem councillors that never went to public meetings. James should stick to the points in hand or those relevant to the work he does instead of seizing every opportunity he can to dig at the opposition.

It used to be on the third Friday of each month, but I've never been. Southwark LGBT used to email a monthly newsletter which listed it, but that newsletter stopped in August when the person doing it stepped down. Funnily enough, some of my footy ladies are meeting for drinks at the Rye Hotel on Friday (and it never occured to me that it's the third Friday of the month). Some of us are gay...if you want to come along and have a drink. We always have a really good laugh.

The sad thing is that amongst all the pantomine of acts like Wagner (who shouldn't be there) and the unfathomable voting patterns.....the few acts that do have some talent, get demeaned. For them this is their life...it's a huge thing. The producers are happy to let the farce continue because controversy ups rating and financial returns but it will only be ok until the day a turkey like Wagner wins, and Simon refuses to sign them. Talkback and Simon will then change their tunes - sharp.

Why do you have to make every issue a political comment on you vs labour James? You guys lost conmtrol of the council for a very good reason. I'd like to have seen that 100 million you guys wasted on a call centre go on many things of which making local neighbourhoods safer would have been an option. FYI the Peckham Rye SNT do an excellent job and it is a very safe ward to live in.

????? And that answers the two previous posts how? I think we can all agree that house prices and rents are too high. But what are the coalition doing about that (apart from reducing the cap on HB). There is already evidence that landlords are removing themselves from LA schemes meaning that we are going to see a return to the use of expensive bed and breakfast accomodation to house families waiting for social housing...something that was as much a scandal under the last Tory government as it will be if we see a return to it (and defeats the object of saving money don't you think?). Still would like an answer too James on how many of those 15,000 jobs will go to the LTU.

Yes H, unfortunately you are wrong. They were extremely experienced sailors and travellers and had been assured their route was safe, taking all ther necessary advice beforehand. Nothing selfish about that, just two people taking a trip acting on what they thought was the right advice. You really shouldn't be so quick to judge people you know nothing about sometimes.

We'll see who is right in the end Rosie...Matt is not as special or as good as many people think he is...as his attempt at singing Elton showed. I don't even think the standing ovation he got for 'First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' last week was warranted either. I'm listening. Matt doesn't move much either but his performance of 'Baby Hit Me One More Time' forced me to listen. He get's a lot of female votes because some women find him attractive....but that's not an objective view of his vocal talent. I don't find him attractive. He'll have a career, but not outside of the UK. America won't snap him up for example.

But they are not intelligent enough to reason anything like that. I thought Matt was all over the place....he's done well so far so people might not be as critical as they should be, but he's no Rebecca. She's not there yet but she could be world class, helped by her unique vocal tone. Matt, whilst good, has nothing unique about him. He's like many other solo male artists in the UK, too soon to say if he's the new David Gray or Damien Rice or even James Blunt. Rebecca though is the real deal....and she stood out last night as the only performer truly capable of nailing anything.

They and Rebecca are the only two acts who did well tonight imo....(in fact I think Rebecca is showing just how good she really is)

He was more awful than usual lol...and Louis is in such a foul mood tonight...... I see a Harry Hill moment coming....Figghhhhttttt!

No it wasn't one of his ...it was the Who (Mr Townsend wrote it)...lol. Maybe Wagner will perform it though!
