  1. I could have done with that pub last Saturday. Ruggers, ruggers, ruggers every where I went. I just wanted a quiet pint.
  2. Congrats Jeremy! Speaking of shops.... What's with the empty space near to Toasted?! It's been empty for years. Seems a shame it can't be put to use.
  3. It's not very commuter friendly. It's certainly not the colour I'd want to see first thing in the morning on the slog to work in this rain.
  4. Art college and galleries in Peckham. Where are all the hipsters and cool kids do there art tings
  5. That pink art gallery is an eye sore. It belongs down the road in Peckham. I'm all for art but that is one garish colour scheme.
  6. Maybe a new section should be started 'Dulwich Dating'
  7. That's a scary read! Being a first time buyer I'm horrified at the prospect I might be potentially dropping thousands of pounds in a matter of seconds just because I can afford it and not necessarily love it and all because someone else is 3 seconds behind me with their cheque in hand.
  8. That's great news. A lorry was mm from ploughing straight into me trying to turn right as he didn't see me on Friday afternoon. Gave me quite the stir.
  9. These cats need to keep. It's all about the stickers.
  10. Yep David A, with you there, VW/Audi/Seat's are built the same engine and spec just the exterior, fancy bits and badge on the bonnet differ and determine price. It's all the same bits under the bonnet. I hear skoda's are actually rather reliable!
  11. Maybe as a final hurrah, you change your names for a final time to superheroes and go rescue that cat?! Find a Christmas tree and sort out Iceland/M&S/Waitrose debacle as it's getting a bit tedious. Have fun in pastures new :)
  12. The pushing of themselves into the guys abode, as a group, is what can only be described as extreme.

As a forumite who dips their toe into water once in a blue moon, I wish you guys all the best!!
  14. What a lovely thing to do! I'm with you HonaloochieB but It's certainly put a smile on my face knowing that someone shared their kindness. Happy 18th Lucy!!
  15. There was an incident at London Bridge station when I arrived at 8.45. The lower concourse was closed and you had to walk round get on the platforms. There was a lot of police! Related?
  16. Well, you've just screwed up 'Lady and the Tramp' for me. I'll now start calling it 'Hussy and the Tramp' or 'Female and the Tramp'. That better? I think being called a lady is a compliment. Certainly better than being called every other bleeding 'woman' related word in the English language. I think the term 'Lady' is flattering. It's of times of when courting was a whirlwind experience of when Ladies and Gentleman would meet and court and women were held of high regard and worth knowing? Surely it's the English culture? And now times are bad (due stabbing, murders, sexual abuse, media discrimination, women still fighting for top jobs) we should be embracing our stance as a woman and a lady and fight for what we can with those terms. I don't mind either terms but don't lambast one without realising its real worth. I'm neither. But you have just ruined Lady and the Tramp for me :(
  17. I was followed off the train at East Dulwich and I'm 26. Instead of going home I decided to go to Sainsbury's to buy wine (to calm my nerves!) so I could lose him and he wouldn't know where I live. I was on the phone to the police at the time as I was too scared to get home. They were really good and talked to me the whole time and would make sure that if I saw the guy again and he followed me then they would send some officers. Luckily I lost him but it's a scary situation and I do hope your daughter is ok! 101 police number were fantastic and if your children feel unsafe then call them. I felt I was wasting time, but it's better safe then calling 999 following an attack!
  18. Probably already been mentioned but....... Queuing! Why do people insist on queuing into the road in a straight line, in the way of everyone else, instead of against the wall where peole can get past? WHY.........?
  19. I feel I was ripped off at Moxons at the weekend and this disappointed me as my purchase really didn't taste all that different from the supermarket! Therefore, supermarket shopping it is. Anyone know any local fishmongers other than Moxons in the area? Or a good market?
  20. Yes, I live on the Grove and I've found parcels just left on the porch and other peoples post as he hasn't checked it properly. Nightmare!
  21. I also saw a guy take a pee on the side of train tracks between South Bermondsey and Queens Road Peckham on my way back from work on Friday. I'm curious as to how he got there.
  22. I drank some soya milk. I don't even like milk.
  23. I live on this road also, and I completely agree with you! I'm all for emergency service ploughing through the streets to save lives, fight crime (in Batman suit) and do their job. What I don't appreciate is the loud mouthing arguments on the street, the crazy guy who shouts and screams at passers by, and stupid drivers who use this road to reverse into the main road and use it as some racing track. They nearly hit a young girl the other day! I just want some peace and quiet minus the 'Jesus is a Saviour' blaring out. (I'm a part time Chatholic so God will for give me for preaching this. One hopes....)
  24. It's funny how the rich get away with not paying a thing. It sickens me.
