  1. I'd be happy for them to PM me Michael. I'm looking for something closer to home (so to speak)as opposed to Quebec or Monaco.
  2. Anyone remember Paula Ratcliffe?

  4. Thank you for clearing that up.

  6. Well I don't think you can reach the toilets in the cinema unless you are going to a movie.MD's probably have a policy of toilets for customers only. There is an excuse. If a boy needs to go he needs to go.Sorry to disagree.
  7. I doubt he will end up at Madrid or leave OT. He has become the main man now that Ronnie has left. Also it takes a particular type of Englishman to be able to cope with the change of lifestyle/language etc. I doubt he is that type. He's not very good at speaking English is he? How is he going to speak Spanish?
  8. You are imagining stuff Matthew. The only superiority I would claim for rugby over football is the supporters. As for the games themselves it's a personal choice what you like or don't as the case may be. Quids referred to the amateur era in rugby and I agree with him. Rugby as a professional sport needs to sort it laws out if it's to grow. There are too many grey areas where it's impossible for the ref to know in the scrum for example who is actualy commiting the offence. As for the article, it doesn't surprise me. The French have possibly been the dirtiest players even going back to the amateur era. I say possibly in case someone cares to suggest another country.
  9. Wow. Thanks for that. I was completely taken in. I thought the person doing the recommending was a regular poster?
  10. Can anyone point me in the right direction? It was somewhere pre Christmas and someone here knows the couple who rent it. Thanks if you can.
  11. Last week a player was given a 70 week ban for gouging. You still haven't said who defends such tactics nor how they use footie as an excuse.
  12. I'm waiting for you on the other thread. Jah's likely to have a hangover and not be in the best mood this morning so I don't want to be caught talking rugby on his footie thread. matthew123 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Declan, what I meant by intense was it only takes > a second to score goal et al whereas with rugger > it is almost like a coach party of geriatrics > making their way up and down the pitch. 13. Give how physical the sport is there is bound to be those who use underhand tactics but that doesn't make the whole sport dirty. Who defends such tactics by having a go at football? I really don't know what you mean.
  14. I'm here..........
  15. Not fair Sir.....I didn't start it! PS Nor did I mean to send this comment by PM, apologies Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Our you indulging in some afters? Seriously though are you comparing it to being around football fans?

Michael, we in Ireland are so grateful for Empire introducing us to the spud and subsequent famines. However I would never have thought they were tuck shop fare except perhaps in the form of Tayto's. A brand of crisps.

Got to agree with you there.........a very badly acted one though!

I find this difficult to believe but if it happened it happened. I doubt they were 'Leicester' fans though. I watched several games over the week-end. Last night for example in a poor but intense match with a lot at stake, once again the home fans showed what they were worth by keeping quiet when the opposition were taking kicks at goal.Stuart Barnes peed me off at one point by implying that the Munster fans were hissing before a kick when it was obvious to me as a TV viewer that they were hushing the one or two fools who were making noise.

Matthew, how the hell is footie more intense than rugby on the pitch, which is where you presumably are talking about. Off the pitch footie is more intense due to the fans being intimidating. But on it you would just have to have looked at any of the matches this week-end to see that the nancy boy footballers wouldn't last 5 minutes in rugby because if they fell over their bootlaces looking for attention the game would just continue whilst an A&E site was built up around them on the pitch. They would soon realise it's a game and not a pantomine.
  21. This is for all the Man City friends out there........peace and goodwill.....enjoy!
  22. Narnia

    Wallander

Seems BBC 4 recently showed the Swedish version. The BeeB are selling from early Feb a box set of the 1st two series for ?27.
  23. Would it cost a lot to have lockers for each member of staff and charge them a nominal amount over a period of time to recoup your costs?I presume from what you write some of them are victims too.
  24. Well I did Mick but a)I'm sure I'm still well behind and b) I have 3 MU players in my team and I don't think they are in the next round of fixtures.
  25. Mick, are you happy to accept 'a drink' being the currency?
