  1. I'm not mad at all, and I have been given a certificate release form to prove it. But I now worry about people hunting the poor lynx-or-whatever-it-was down!
  2. An AGE limit on the self check outs? That has t be the funniest line I have read in ages. BellendenBear, can we also suggest they only allow nice middleclass educated and speedy people to use the store, with typed shopping lists so they don't spend time trying to read their own hastily read written shopping lists written by their spouses back home, and can we only allow people to park who have NICE children who won't cause a fuss and scream when dulwichmummy has the stupidity to say NO to them? And can we put up the fine for parking in the child parking bays according to the sort of car that was in there? And can we just all be like ME.
  3. Unexpected item in bagging area.
  4. I hope to attend that day, and will ask other FONC people (Friends of Nunhead Cemetery) if they are aware of it. I keep wondering if I really did see it. I mean, what a crazy thing. But I did. I know I did.

  6. Hello Mr Station Manager - this is not part of your remit, but it may be of use to you to know what is going on in areas covered by your stations, and to know of the people and actions concerned. Southwark Rail Users Group news. And I see since posting this Eileen MBE has posted a topic all about it. Quite right too.

  8. Big enough to attack a threatening human, but he saw me and walked off. I am wondering if I should really have posted this, in case journos are interested and threaten him. He was so beautiful. (Lynx not journo.)
  9. Hi, I am Peckham Rose. ;) Virgin will do it, too.
  10. Whassat then.
  11. But seriously though, I did I did I thaw a puddyLYNX. Where's that pesky journo?
  12. See, by the time chauffeur driven car gets to heliport, motorcycle is at Heathrow!
  13. Should I write to BBCs BigCatDiary programme? They're on a money saving exercise, the BBC. They can come to Nunhead instead of Africa. But I really am sure of what I saw.
  14. I'm sober, and my prescription drugs do not make me hallucinate, I promise. But just been for a long walk around the exquisitely beautiful Nunhead Cemetery and saw a big cat, looked like a lynx, silver grey with pointy ears, and about 2-3 times the size of a domestic cat. Honestly. Edited to add: having just searched for previous posts on this sort of subject I note that someone saw a big cat in Peckham Rye Park some time ago, and suggestions were it was an ocelot or lynx. The one I saw looked more like a lynx!
  15. Happened to me at B&Q too, I parked where I should not have, aparently (no, not in a child space or disabled space, but in a quiet dead corner, my motorcycle, as they did not have designated motorcycle parking bays). I refused to pay and they set the bailiffs on me and I still refused to pay and the bailiff accepted my legal template letter and have not paid to this day. There are on line customer / consumer rights websites run by people who know their facts, which are very very helpful!
  16. Daft comment, of course they do, and I regularly announce the Police Ward Panel meetings, and Community Council meetings, where you can also meet them and go along. And instead of whinging on here about the times, you could of course email them with your above comments (maybe you already did), on the email address I also usefully gave. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  17. Yeah they are. Just not as much as the New York Dolls. Patti Smith is still my Goddess though.
  18. At St Thomas The Apostle Church Hall, 81 Evelina Road, SE15 3HL Focus for this one is "Young People", so you can all go and have a moan about them. Oh - maybe that's not the point. Also is discussion with police and Safer Neighbourhood Team and Warden updates and their presentation on their new powers. (They have XRay Vision now!) Also, Peckham and Nunhead Area Action Plan Update, and car clubs. "If you are a Southwark Resident and have paid someone to look after your children or an elderly depdenant or a dependant with disabilities, so that you can attend this meeting, you may claim an allowance from the council. Please collect a claim form from the clerk at the meeting." I mean, there really is no excuse! Except for me. I'm working. Still, done my bit and told you lot about it. Now I am off to the pub.
  19. Just off to the Clockhouse.
  20. This does affect some of you on the East Dulwich side of the Park and indeed the leaflet mentions The Gardens specifically so dear moderator - please allow this in the ED Issues section. Ta. Just had a leaflet through my door being the Peckham Rye Safer Neighbourhood Team newsletter, and informing me of the following: 6 May 2009 4 to 6 pm public meeting at Cafe in Peckham Rye Park 12 June 2009 12 till 4pm Community Bus at Peckham Rye Park by Strakers Road (one assumes in the car park). Email them for information [email protected] 020 8721 2443 for more information.
  21. 'Ello. That one. Answer to the second question - a few occasions, personal stuff. And dazeykat, so good to know you.
  22. Then he's not so perfect is he.
