  1. Do you think people being utterly helpful, listening to all our concerns, doing things to address the concerns, saying what they'll do, doing it, telling us that they've done what they said they'll do, will catch on? I'm scared.
  2. Leicester Square Theatre: the Afterlife of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. This show is on Tuesdays in May at 8.00pm and I saw the first show tonight. It is the funniest show I have seen in years. The 2 actors who play Cook and Moore, with the 3rd actor playing about 5 other characters including a brilliant Leonard Rossiter, Frankie Howard, Peter Sellers and others just never let up and were totally utterly convincing, but the play itself (written by two of the cast) was a scream of an idea. Oh God that was such a funny night. Enjoy. Oooh and I see the exquisite Sandra Bernhard is also on end of May. Must get tickets for her, too. Saw her years ago and she is soooo dark and fabulous.
  3. Well done UPaulie! I have this vision of stock on the fruit and veg aisles coming from a sort of suspended ceiling so it's lowered down to the bays, thus negating the need for trollies of stuff to be loaded taking up space in the aisles. But now if someone nicks my brilliant idea I want a cut of the profits, mind.
  4. Why don't you ask the Parks department? No point in asking us is there. ;)
  5. Hhahjahahaahahahahaha????hahahaahahahaahhhhaaha ACHOOOO
  6. Nope, and I stroked the cow and the other animals, and even the heads of a few children.
  7. I'm not mad at all, and I have been given a certificate release form to prove it. But I now worry about people hunting the poor lynx-or-whatever-it-was down!
  8. An AGE limit on the self check outs? That has t be the funniest line I have read in ages. BellendenBear, can we also suggest they only allow nice middleclass educated and speedy people to use the store, with typed shopping lists so they don't spend time trying to read their own hastily read written shopping lists written by their spouses back home, and can we only allow people to park who have NICE children who won't cause a fuss and scream when dulwichmummy has the stupidity to say NO to them? And can we put up the fine for parking in the child parking bays according to the sort of car that was in there? And can we just all be like ME.
  9. Unexpected item in bagging area.
  10. I hope to attend that day, and will ask other FONC people (Friends of Nunhead Cemetery) if they are aware of it. I keep wondering if I really did see it. I mean, what a crazy thing. But I did. I know I did.

  12. Hello Mr Station Manager - this is not part of your remit, but it may be of use to you to know what is going on in areas covered by your stations, and to know of the people and actions concerned. Southwark Rail Users Group news. And I see since posting this Eileen MBE has posted a topic all about it. Quite right too.

  14. Big enough to attack a threatening human, but he saw me and walked off. I am wondering if I should really have posted this, in case journos are interested and threaten him. He was so beautiful. (Lynx not journo.)
  15. Hi, I am Peckham Rose. ;) Virgin will do it, too.
  16. Whassat then.
  17. But seriously though, I did I did I thaw a puddyLYNX. Where's that pesky journo?
  18. See, by the time chauffeur driven car gets to heliport, motorcycle is at Heathrow!
  19. Should I write to BBCs BigCatDiary programme? They're on a money saving exercise, the BBC. They can come to Nunhead instead of Africa. But I really am sure of what I saw.
  20. I'm sober, and my prescription drugs do not make me hallucinate, I promise. But just been for a long walk around the exquisitely beautiful Nunhead Cemetery and saw a big cat, looked like a lynx, silver grey with pointy ears, and about 2-3 times the size of a domestic cat. Honestly. Edited to add: having just searched for previous posts on this sort of subject I note that someone saw a big cat in Peckham Rye Park some time ago, and suggestions were it was an ocelot or lynx. The one I saw looked more like a lynx!
  21. Happened to me at B&Q too, I parked where I should not have, aparently (no, not in a child space or disabled space, but in a quiet dead corner, my motorcycle, as they did not have designated motorcycle parking bays). I refused to pay and they set the bailiffs on me and I still refused to pay and the bailiff accepted my legal template letter and have not paid to this day. There are on line customer / consumer rights websites run by people who know their facts, which are very very helpful!
