Question about stars (the ones in the sky)
PeckhamRose replied to Thomas Micklewright's topic in The Lounge
Indeed a great website. I also remember hearing about an App you can download so that if you are in the countryside or at least the night sky full of stars is very bright, you aim your iPhone camera at it and the App will tell you what is what as a result of what the camera can see. But I don't have time to find that for you. Sorry! -
You only want me for your fix of carbohydrate? Pahhhh. Rain was indeed well forecast for today, and I had to be home by tomorrow. So I came home last night. Magnificent photographs to be seen when films are D&Pd* and CDs also acquired and installed! Oh I am sooooooooooooooo happy. It was SUCH a good trip and coming home to MrPR (he's worked out how to use washing machine if not bread machine!) I know how lucky I am to be alive and with him! But solo motorcycle trips are a very necessary part of my sanity. Having done it several times before I have to declare that outside of London my favourite part of the Britain is most definitely the High Pennines. Oh, and the scary mountain passes of Lake District, oh and Yorkshire Dales's tiny lanes AND the mountain road from Aberystwyth to Rhayader, and while I think about it, most of Northumberland AND of course the Alston to Penrith mountain road stopping for coffee at Hartstop Cafe England's Highest Cafe! Thank you all for reading! *D&Pd Developed and Printed!

Done 1,200 miles on the bike, checked me messages at my cousin's place in Baaaarrry 10 days in now and am speaking in a Welsh Accent. Come home in two days. Miss me? I LOVE LONDON but boy are we living on a beautiful island. It depressed me just how many people told me they did not like London, like I asked them, right? But they felt they wanted to voice their opinions. Anyhow, I miss you and it, but biking round the countries England and Wales is faaaaaaaablus. Love you ALL dahlings and missing you loads! Byeeeeeeeeeeee!

Opening a Tattoo Shop in ED
PeckhamRose replied to pedropowers's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Could we have it next to the Sex Shop? Thanks! -
Indeed. I am a biker, but sometimes, just sometimes I have to go out on a bus, and I can't carry heavy bags easily. 484 stops outsidde my flat; it would be so useful to have that option for it to go to Sainsburys. What happened to joined up thinking with the government - don't they want me off my veeehickle?
-
Anyway, so I guess an idea or those who DO want the 484 to dip in to the Sainsbury's car park would be to write to the new company. The details are on the TfL Webpage as well as on each and every 484bus itself.

Should Sharon Osbourne Ever Be Allowed On TV Again?
PeckhamRose replied to Loz's topic in The Lounge
Ohhhhhhhh my hasn't she had some work done! -
For what it is worth I thought you may be interested that I recently wrote to the company that runs the 484 and asked them if they would consider dipping in to Sainsburys as part of its route. They said no, absolutely not, nuh uh, you must be joking. What they actually also said was that they felt their customers would be irritated at the extra time on the route. Oh dear. It would not take THAT long, would it? And anyway, it would add custom for people who - well, who want to shop at sainsburys!

37 Bus Route - good and bad comments please
PeckhamRose replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I do not often have to use it but concur that its frequency does leave a lot to be desired. -
Yeah, any professional accountants or anyone who can understand them, members of EDF so they can tell us what we can't see?!

I'm recording the series. That way I can skip through the 90% of drivel. Mud were fun, though.

WHy should people control sex drives? It's a natural thing to feel, so by exploring it, we're only do harm to those who feel harm has been done. Fatal Attraction taught us so much! She was mad*, of course, he still loved his wife. He just wanted sex. * I know, I know.

Stolen Motorbike....FOUND! Whooppppeeeeeeeee!
PeckhamRose replied to cazzyr's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy or to be precise to very observant MrPR Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! And yes, since you chose the beer thing, a beer would be lovely! -
The problem is each member of the polyamorous group has to constantly check their feelings. Are they just a bit jealous when she gets more attention than the other one? Or something. There are such relationships within not just the Mormon religion (although apparently illegal, it does occur in some small communities in Utah), but also in some BDSM relationships (Dominant/submissive relationships) there are often such relationships. I certainly don't have an issue with it. I think it's quite a natural thing, specially if there are no children involved (research shows kids who grew up in kibbutzes were not as happy as their parents were at being brought up by a lot of people).

Revamp to Denmark Hill station

The important issue is that people who can't do stairs will be able to now get to King College Hospital. Hoorah! -
He was very helpful, nette, which is why I started the thread, for people to be helpful and useful for all of us who know not much about such matters. So I popped along to John lewis yesterday and got lots of prices and info. Then I wandered to the iPad section. I was rather amused and delighted and wondered if I could justify it. iPad3 will be in shops in December. Meanwhile, I have registered for a free lesson in their useage at Apple in Regent Street. Dear Santa... Once again thanks so much for your words of advice people. I know from PMs I have got that other people have got help too. As I said, this was meant to be an info and help thread for all of us! Please feel free to ask questions people, others may be able to help and advise like they have done for me!

There was a female tribute to them (honest) called ASheDShe. Saw AC/DC at HammyOdeon. Loved them, still play them! (From the vinyl of course!)

I may live on the SE15 side of the park but the racket that often wakes me up in the mornings of the dawn chorus means the cats are indeed rubbish and they're not killing enough birds. When my cat sees a pigeon on the balcony she runs back in the house. Truly embarrassing. But. If you insist on saving the bird things (and MrPR is a member of the RSPB which is plain wrong) put a collar with a bell on the cat.

Thank you muchly for everything. Hugely appreciated. Thinking things through.

"I would say that there has been a huge growth in fetishising chilis over the last 10 years or so though, i never really saw it as a cultural phenomenon in the way that it has become now. " Does that have anything to do with the infamous Simpsons episode?

All junctions should be treated as if there is a yellow box there; ie don't enter it if your exit is not clear or you will cause obstruction when the traffic starts moving from the other way. The fact so many idiot car drivers don't have the common sense to realise that, means they need a little bit of help by painting a yellow box there. If they then "rake it in" as a result, good for them. In some cases car drivers did successfully claim against the council's fines because they could not see the end of some yellow box junctions, and it was thus considered unfair. This was upheld and now councils have to be more reasonable where they place them. But that is not the case here. Do not enter yellow (or ANY junction) if you can not see that your exit is clear. What's your problem?
