  1. Just HAD to share. Well, basically it's Atheists Bothering Mormons and it's bloody funny, but the connection - religion, superstition, psychic awareness, is all related so it's on topic as far as I am concerned. Pretty Much.
  2. Oh KK that's interesting but no, apart from cooking oils we confine our motorcycle mechanics to the garage. And Sue, no, the vet had no idea other than recommended Feliway which has had no effect. But thanks everyone so much for your ideas and suggestions!
  3. Saturday motorcycle ride to Sussex to see a relativeinlaw and then bike back. Sunday working :( But getting paid for it is a big :) at the moment!
  4. Ahhh okay so Ali McGraw in Love Story. Ohhhhhh I wepppppttttt and the cinema lights went up super quick and grown men were caught crying too.
  5. Kevin Spacey, LA COnfidential.
  6. I LOVED No Way Out, and even being a straight female MUCH preferred Sean Young (broke my heart in Blade Runner too) to Kevin Costner. But that was not a twist. You knew he was what he was as it was mentioned/signposted at the beginning. Or maybe you came in late. It wasn't a twist but when Kevin Spacey got shot in LA Confidential that shocked me! Best death acting ever though. Maybe I'll start another thread.
  7. Interesting how my ADvice WANTED is now in the lounge. She doesn't piss in the LOUNGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Hahahahaha) Well thanks guys, here's the situation. DJKQ advised lemons cut in half - but that has not worked. The flat is tiny and only me and MrPR in it so the kitchen is not busy and she knows where it is. Last night covered hall in foil and she was fine, but she is some nights anyway and we can't keep doing that. Nope, no stress, no other animals although, yes, I do come home with smells of dogs or cats on my jeans: who in this forum doesn't with all the lovely friendly dogs you lot own coming up to me in the park! It's only been happening last year. I shall try and onion idea too. And bicarb soaks up smells and there is a cat odor spray you can buy, but that has not worked, either (I mean to get RID of cat pee smells). Thanks for all your help, and yes, she is lovely!
  8. Well dammit woman I shall be at work.
  9. She's well loved, well cared for, and wants for nothing. She's not bored, and we play with her when she wants us to. She's ten years old. She was a rescue cat about 9 months when we got her. She'd been locked in a cupboard, fed and watered but locked up. She has NEVER liked going out, never been curious, other than on my back balcony. She's incredibly nervous and even runs away from me sometimes, MrPR, even after all this time. An affectionate playful lap cat, she is not! But she has started occasionally peeing on the hall carpet between 4 and 7 in the morning. Not every night. And she still uses her cat litter the rest of the time. I have had her checked out at the vets. She's healthy. She knows she is doing wrong. I hear her scratching the carpet and it wakes me up, then I go into the hall and there is the pee so she runs away. But what the bloody hell can I do? I have covered some of the area in foil, I have tried Feliway spray and diffuser, and have checked on websites for ideas but nothing's working. I love that cat. But something's gotta change round here! Someone suggested a Cat Homoepath. I don't believe in all that stuff BUT even I am thinking of trying that idea!
  10. Wait a minute. Picnic on Sunday? After the footie? What time? I mean what time the picnic? I'm working between about 1 and 6.30. I guess that's me fudged then. Or not.
  11. Sound of Music. I kinda assumed / hoped they'd all DIE.
  12. So do I. Now, when will the tomatoes ripen? Eh? Eh? I have five plants 6 ft tall on the back balcony which I have successfully been 'picking' so that there's lots and lots of tomatoes on them. And I'm hungry. And we can't see daylight from the living room.
  13. The point about companies owning rights to certain types of foods they have invented is an interesting one, specially if the old types of free range foods as it were die out. That could take - oh I dunno - a century? But those companies do exist and they're ready. I saw it in the X-Files I think so must be true.
  14. A GREAT night with you and sazzle at the Clockhouse last night. Even though we found ourselves in the pub quiz and came a respectable middlish - I hope you have a great time and look forward to seeing you both again end of September. Shall we make it another Wednesday? ;)
  15. This person needs medication, not humiliation!
  16. OK dokey. Laters though cos I got to get me award! Aren't you all glad you pay your community charges taxes rates and stuff?
  17. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I won Silver for the Best Balcony in the Southwark In Bloom Awards. It's important to tell them every trough or pot you have was from a skip, they like the idea of the recycling angle. But it is true I got many of my seeds and plants from folk on here, as well as Paul from Indacos and a few from Shannons. They also liked the hanging helmets full of plants and flowers, photos of which posted elsewhere on this site. I'd like to thank my mother, but she has very very bad short term memory so I'll have to thank her every five minutes.
  18. Edgar Kail Way (leading to Sainsburys) is named after a bloke who in 1922 played for Dulwich and was chosen to play for England.
  19. Woof that was brilliant. I mean, doesn't ANYONE watch The Mentalist? ;) ;) Doesn't Derren Brown mean ANYTHING to you folk?!
  20. Full face helmet visor down QUICK. I think I got away without being recognised by kids.
  21. I walked through the garden today on way to and from root canal by Bunmi at the dentists. Saw a gardener and said FLWAANK OO because the mouth was still numb. Dribbled too, so walked away fast. Bit embarrassing.
  22. Should the Thames flood, it is believed the water will come no higher than the road in Peckham called HIGHSHORE Road. Learned that on a Peckham Society walk and talk, I did. Doesn't make sense but there you are.
  23. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA hahahahahahahahahahaha poor giggirl. I once turned a corner very slowly on my new motorcycle in view of a whole load of kids. And lost balance and fell off. THAT was embarrassing.
  24. Very good boy WoofmarktheDog! So what did you do, Rosie?
  25. Too late. All gone.
