  1. Hi James, I went out to look at the lamp post and unfortunately the yellow sticker which normally has the reference number on has been partially ripped off and just says 'C'. I have as an alternative pinpointed roughly where it is on google maps, please see the green pin on this map here - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=51.4617,-0.07989&daddr=&hl=en&geocode=&gl=uk&mra=mift&mrsp=0&sz=19&sll=51.461879,-0.079334&sspn=0.000907,0.002411&ie=UTF8&z=19&pw=2 Sorry I couldn't be more specific, however I work in Keating Estates just down from where the manhole is so if the person/team sent to repair it cannot see it straight away tell them poke their head into the office and ask for Luke (that's me), Nick, Gill or Albert as we all know where the hole is
  2. I have an iphone on 02 and always have good signal all through dulwich and very rarely lose signal anywhere in or out of london to be honest. their customer service is good as well
  3. Hi James, Just a quick one, last week on Vale End on the pavement running down the side of Keating Estates leading into Hayes Grove/Besant Place, a car removal lorry drove over a manhole cover and cracked quite badly meaning the hole is now partially open. I was a bit worried someone might fall into it so me and my colleague put a pallet over the top and then called the council - they said someone would come out and repair it as a matter of urgency as it was dangerous but they still have not come to repair it. This happened a week ago and no one has even called back to update me, do you know who would be dealing with this? I have a reference number from the person I spoke to on the phone if you need it. Cheers, Luke

  5. it was shown as under offer at 850k with truepenny's until quite recently, I'd imagine the sale has fallen through and they've cut the price drastically to try and re sell quick

  7. hmmmm...it's a long shot but perhaps you were burgled?
  8. consider the safety of your fellow human beings by being cremated, therefore making it impossible to eat their brains during a zombie apocalypse

I would if it was bringing a lot of trouble with it but they're pretty peaceful on the whole so it doesn't bother me
  10. people are almost comically unsubtle about this, there are always people dealing out of cars at the end of my street and they are SO blatant about it, sit there for 3 hours at a time selling them out the window!

  12. forgot to add - you will find the mountains much quiter than many of the french resorts, my parents went skiing in france last year and spent loads of time in queues for lifts, at the places I was talking about I have rarely had to queue and when I have it has never had to be for long as the lifts are all pretty modern and fast
  13. Try schladming in Austria, fantastic slopes with plenty of beginner runs and intermediate ones for if your confidence is a bit higher by the end of the week, the ski pass prices are very reasonable and actually give you access to over 17 mountains (on a network called ski amade or something) in the area, and free bus travel between them. The village of Haus is very pretty as is the whole area with lots of slopes with trees lining either side of the piste. There are some lovely self catering apartments in the village and some nice hotels in the slightly larger town nearby of Schladming. From either of those villages you can get up onto one mountain and from there on you can access the three adjoining mountains via cable car without having to ski down and come off the mountain. Not a great place if you're looking for mad partying and apres ski, but you said these are not priorities and there are still some very good restaurants and bars.
  14. Heard on the radio that there was an accident on Pellatt Road which meant they also had to cordon off part of Lordship Lane for some reason

You are only to take them off the shelf, have a look at them and then throw them on the ground with the hanger or try and force them back into the middle of the pile you took them off, messing everything up ;)

Yeah it's Diwali very soon and this is also celebrated with fireworks as well as a few other traditions

  18. My mum got a ticket at that yellow box by the bus station, but managed to get off it on appeal as when she entered the box her exit was clear, but a bus dangerously pulled out in front of her when she was halfway across the yellow box, therefore blocking the exit. I got a charge notice at the end of rye lane as well by driving through the no entry at the end onto Rye Lane instead of turning left onto the one way system like you're supposed to, ended up paying it as I'd just simply made a mistake, annoying though, seems a bit silly that rather than just drive straight across and onto peckham rye with the buses you have to turn left and go all the way round the one way system again!
  19. jeez, get a grip, it's a one off thing on a friday night which ended relatively early for a party, or alternatively if you cannot find a grip, a pair of foam earplugs will set you back a whole 50p

  21. and no I do not work there :D
  22. shouldn't be too complex but if you are unsure as to exactly what you're doing I wouldn't mess with it as you might end up buggering the electrics - if you want someone who knows their stuff I can recommend in car multimedia on bellenden road, I had a new speaker system and head unit installed into my old car there and the guys can do all the fitting for you and are really friendly and very honest (for example - I was looking at buying a very large bass unit which was quite expensive and rather than push me to get that they actually advised it would be too much for the size of my car and recommended I buy the smaller, and also cheaper, unit in order to get best results - I thought that was decent of them as they could have just flogged me the more expensive unit which would have been unsuitable) - prices for fitting are pretty reasonable as well
  23. would love a decent menswear shop to fill one of these places, bit gutted to hear the blue brick cafe will no longer be a breakfast type caff, they did a great fry up, interested to see what the new place will be like though - I have to say though it seems a bit of a rubbish location for a restaurant though, can't imagine them getting much walk in business
