  1. Big thumbs up for Winkworth from me. We've used them twice in the last 8 years and they were great. Hard working and honourable. I would trust them more than any other in ED.
  2. I don't see how this would work financially.
  3. I'm wondering the same thing. When I lived in Derwent Grove, someone used to leave very aggressive notes on my windscreen suggesting that the space outside their house was "theirs". There are people screwed up enough to do this sort of thing. Not sure what you can do but if it really is the same place maybe the police/council could help with CCTV? 4. The answer's easy. Don't park in a restricted area and expect to get away with it. There seems to be an awful lot of moaning on the forum from people who park where they shouldn't and get caught. johannaf's experience re the ticket machine is not good though and another matter entirely.
  5. We need a Corbyn, most definitely.
  6. I don't think they allow murders.
  7. I don't see what uncleglen has done wrong here.

It's hardly a new thing.

It's simple really, if your kids are well behaved most people don't mind having them around. If they're little shits then keep them out of everyone else's way.
  12. fazer71, have replied to your rather hypocritical private message.
  13. Full marks whymewhynow for not calling people who think the noise isn't a problem "morons". Zero marks for suggesting people are "revelling in their deafness" when they have a different opinion to you.

Keep on topic please. ! > > > > Fwiw the topic is aircraft noise.. Not I am Deaf. Your continual insistence on calling people morons and making light of mental illness is really doing you no favours. Most people aren't bothered by the aircraft noise and don't consider it a problem. That doesn't make them morons, it just makes them people with a different opinion to you. It's somewhat hypocritical of you to tell people to stay on topic and then to try and shut down any discussion that doesn't support your dubious stance.
  15. Fazer - making light of mental illness (ref your tasteless Maudsley comment above) does you no favours and hardly dispels the notion that you are a person of dubious judgement.
  16. Precisely. There's a lot of moaning on this forum from people who have been caught breaking the rules. It's quite possible to negotiate driving through both of the places the OP mentions without breaking any rules. Pay the fines while they're still half price!

  20. You can't beat the real thing and I find that there are only a handful of the capsules that I like but it does make for a much better alternative than instant coffee. Also relatively hassle free. the aerocinno is handy for heating milk and quicker than doing it in a saucepan. The Pixie machines are fine for general use.

  23. Not enough people go out to pubs just to drink any more to make them financially viable, drinking out is just too expensive and fewer people do it. Easier in busy areas for drinking holes to survive but there are few "locals" that can make that work any more. That culture started to change many years ago, it's not a new thing. Was in Paris last weekend and was reminded how much I like their caf? culture where people go out together and some eat, some don't, some booze, some don't.
