Indeed. And complaining about aircraft noise in London is like complaining about the sea being wet. (ED Picturehouse now open)when is the cinema on LL opening?
edcam replied to Ole's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yes, of course, like any other cinema you can buy on the door but only if the screening hasn't sold out. SebsC Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi. Bike shed in front garden? (Do I need planning permission...)
edcam replied to crescent's topic in The Lounge
I'd be surprised if you didn't need permission for something like this, especially if it needs to be big enough for 5 bikes but I'd call Southwark and ask. -
Poor old tarot. I don't imagine he has many friends.

That's interesting but is there any evidence to support this? njc97 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Pommie, wolfhound was referring to the recent > cyclist who have been killed, and their details > reporting in the media. It isn't a relevant comparison. The thread is about a new cinema in the area, not a moan about "cinemas in general". That might be worth another thread though. Yet they all do it, so it's pointless singling out one cinema. It's a justified gripe but not one that's specific to this place. Yes, you can but that's not always convenient unless you also work in the area. sanity girl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can you not call in to the cinema in person to buy > tickets in advance? That seems like the simplest > option given that it's local. -

Yup, booking fees are a rip off but Picturehouse aren't the only company to do this. -
You're homophobic enough to start 2 threads of this drivel? Wow.

Get a life tarot, you're a pathetic homophobe.

They look completely hideous. Terrible idea.

It's not up to me to remove them and quite possibly illegal for me to do so.

Sorry but the sponsored boards create the same eyesore. Several weeks at a time is too long.

Of course you're allowed to complain about it, just as others are allowed to comment that it isn't a problem. Well because it's a forum, where people comment on things etc. Nutmeg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > yes of course there are but why is it that the > people who feel there are so many more pressing > things to worry about are the very ones who choose > to waste their time commenting on these things!

When I moved to Ed in 1995, you couldn't move for actors. Still a fair few around but only the ones who can afford it (which is a tiny percentage.) red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Wasn't ED originally a magnet for the acting > fraternity, a sort of bohemia lite?...

I agree with BrandNewGuy - if you don't want a fine/ticket, don't break the rules. I have broken them on occasion and only have myself to blame. There are a lot of threads/posts on this forum where people whinge (not the OP, I hasten to add) about getting tickets when they clearly deserved them. I don't know what it is about people that make them think they are above this sort of thing. Sitting with the engine running is a no-no though.
