Did i see you there last night with a pint of homemade gin in your hand?
  2. Years ago is as told that to remove the blue from methylated spirits you can filter it through s slice of white bread.... Apparently it works but still sends you blind regardless .....
  3. I agree, it was an interesting program, and so was the areas they covered where useful including the effects of miso soup on appetite.. The transplant was weird in terms of why would anyone invent it in the first place, and also that they said it was still an area not fully researched so in my mind a bit of an out there treatment at the moment... I guess I was glad I wasn't eating a late supper last night and it's not something I want to receive. Seabag, I agree look after your gut bacteria and they will look after you but it is a case of s good balanced diet that helps with that and not the latest fad or diet supplement that will do it for you.

That was also a political move by the EU who wants to wrestle the financial sector away from London and the U.K. As a whole and relocate it in Frankfurt, I agree that the financial sector needed reigning in after the crisis started in America, but there is no hiding from the fact that Germany wants to be the financial powerhouse of Europe and wants to impose even more stringent controls on the UK until financial companies are forced to relocate.

Most manufacturing companies and jobs have drifted abroad....
  7. Just watching food unwrapped and they are discussing the concept of fecal transplant http://thefecaltransplantfoundation.org/what-is-fecal-transplant/ basically taking a healthy donors "poo" extracting certain Bactria from it then transplanting it into the guts of someone who needs or thinks they need it... At multiple thousands for a course someone is taking the piss in my opinion, however I bet there are brave souls in East Dulwich who have tried it.... The world is a weird place...

Careful that you won't be forced to regret such a bold statement, anything is possible
  9. Townleygreen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > rah, > yes I noticed that map with Iraq and Syria > highlighted - a clear case of trying to scare us > into Brexit. Lies. Lies or speculative predictions, much like the ones produced by the government today on pensions... Both sides are trying to scare us imho
  10. So, do you trust a former PM who told us there were weapons of mass distraction to keep us occupied whilst he started a war? Personally he could tell me the world is round and I wouldn't believe him
  11. Sigh Years ago I went to kings cross and repeatedly got approached by ladies trying to sell me something... None of them had clipboards or wanted my details and I am sure that the money they were collecting didn't really go to support old pussys in battersea... To this day I still haven't worked out what they meant by "do you want any business love"

Nigello Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Still awaiting answers as to whether the steam > fairs/circuses are allowed by Southwark to post > bills/placards if they take them down > afterwards...... Apparently they have deemed consent under section 3f of the following document http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2007/783/schedule/3/made As long as they notify Southwark at the correct time, don't display them more then 14 days prior and remove them with 7 days of last performance then they don't need specific advertising consent ... The things you Learn when you run away to a travelling circus!!!
  13. Maybe they are rounding up the idiots that left it till the last second to register to vote...
  14. According to the film the Dam Busters, Guy Gibson's dog was called the naughty N word, whilst I am not suggestion it is correct or right in today's culture and by no means am I suggesting that you name your dog it just imagine if you did and then the trouble you would get yourself in standing on Peckham rye calling out " yoh ?dogs name? come to papa / mama for a treat " So that said, get a tin of black skin dye, paint a circle on its backside and call it bullseye !
  15. If a male, what about John snow.... Or be ironic and call it Nero
  16. It will be interesting to see if there is a market for them, if people are willing to pay the they will survive, if not they will be consigned to the waste bin of ED like so many "good ideas" Red devil, how was the pine tree experience ? Worth the money ?

Taken from the governments own website, www.uktradeinfo.com "EU Exports for March 2016 were ?12.0 billion. This was an increase of ?0.6 billion (5.7 per cent) compared with last month, and a rise of ?0.1 billion (0.6 per cent) compared with March 2015. EU Imports for March 2016 were ?20.2 billion. This was an increase of ?0.8 billion (4.1 per cent) compared with last month, and a rise of ?0.1 billion (0.5 per cent) compared with March 2015. In EU trade the UK was a net importer this month, with imports exceeding exports by ?8.2 billion. The proportion of total exports to the EU was 48 per cent in March 2016. Over the past 18 months, this has ranged from 38 per cent to 48 per cent. The proportion of total imports from the EU was 51 per cent in March 2016. Over the same period, this has ranged between 51 per cent and 55 per cent." Therefore as mentioned bandishing a percentages for a larger body (the EU) compared with a smaller body (the UK) isn't a valid statistic 🤔 Nice try but no cigar Loz (not even an imported EU one ! )

Percentage often hides the real numbers What is the actual amount in pounds shillings and pence 8% of a billion, for example us a lot more than 44% of ten thousand, therefore don't quote percentages but real monetary terms .. There are lies, damn lies and statistics 🤐
  19. Seabag, do you work for either side in the debate because as you point out, your figures are as accurate as the made up figures used by both sides... Either way, according to the opposition group, "we're all doomed" 🤔
  20. Maybe the planning officials need to focus on the bigger problems, like the overrun of the development of the old police station on crystal palace road, or the change of plans for the old Iceland site rather than wasting time on petty infringements...

  22. I always love seeing the futurama episode where Bender meets God after a colony of mini beings develops on his body, developed civilisation before eventually destroying themselves in nuclear amargeddon ! Very ironic as both blended and God agree that ?When you do things right, people won?t be sure you?ve done anything at all.?
  23. Ben Dover and his brother Phil McAvity might be useful in this situation... I tried... Honest I did... But it just sort of happened as I am weak willed
  24. Relinquishing the EDF. Stage one, preparation. For this you will need one room which you will not leave. Soothing music. Tomato soup, ten tins of. Mushroom soup, eight tins of, for consumption cold. Ice cream, vanilla, one large tub of. Magnesia, milk of, one bottle. Paracetamol, mouthwash, vitamins. Mineral water, Lucozade, pornography. One mattress. One bucket for urine, one for feces and one for vomitus. One television and one bottle of Valium, which I've already procured from my mother, who is, in her own domestic and socially acceptable way also an EDF addict. And now I'm ready. All I need is one final hit to soothe the pain while the Valium takes effect.
  25. It's the first of June and my heating just came on... WTF If this is global warming then someone has done a pretty poor job of naming it !
