    cat litter

I?ve seen there is flushable cat litter available but I wonder if it?s something Thames Water approve of?
  2. Geographically they?re all the same hill and the names are of the different roads that go through it. Geeky info: Denmark Hill used to be called Dulwich Hill and renamed after Queen Anne?s husband. Champion Hill named after the Champion de Crespigny family who owned the land.
  3. Except it doesn?t make it easier at all - see James Barber?s post above about there not being an option for those opposed to CPZ to have their say. There would then be a costly consultation which could well lead to a CPZ being denied. It isn?t just as simple as reporting dog poo and hey presto the problem is remedied. jimlad48 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Orange owl Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Things are really black and white for you and > so > > simple. 4. Ditto Southwark. It would be more meaningful if figures could be given for smaller areas within the borough.
  5. I walked past there about 9 am this morning and it seemed to be coming from the bus stop. Weird.
  6. Had the snowfall been heavier than it?s likely that greater resources would have been deployed. How the Council responded to one inch of snow cannot be taken as an indication of their response to say a four to five inch snowfall. You?re just stirring again.
  7. It?s not unreasonable but I guess it?s largely a question of logistics - manpower, transportation of grit and machinery. It would have been a huge undertaking to grit all pavements in Southwark (how many miles is that?) for what was a light snowfall at a time when milder weather was forecast to return in a few days and the problem resolve of its own accord. ETA. The parts of my street which had not already been cleared of snow by residents / traders were swept and cleared yesterday morning. This effort proved a waste as six hours later it was covered again by fresh snow which by the middle of this morning had thawed.
  8. But you can be sure that when the end result appears, whatever it may be as they have yet to enlighten us, it will be promoted as being the result of input from the wider ED community.
  9. Those pictures showing snow in London are just so embarrassing: call that snow?
  10. I thought some Hamlet fans might be interested to see this postcard from 1926 on eBay? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dulwich-Hamlet-Vintage-Football-Poster-POSTCARDS-Choose-from-list/391775803837?hash=item5b37a859bd:m:mVHMNXzfC6jXrGCUfjhapXg
  11. What would happen though when the residents of Barry Road and Crystal Palace Road lobby for their roads to be closed to through traffic as seems to be the fashion these days?
  12. Segregated pedestrian lanes?
  13. Nope
  14. I wonder if it?s someone else in Hammerman?s household who actually puts out the recycling and rubbish!
  15. They should have been collected at the same time as the contents of your small brown bin so it?s an incomplete collection. On occasions I?ve put out brown bags the night before on the pavement and they?ve mysteriously disappeared overnight before the scheduled collection, I?m guessing the guys driving the caged trucks spot them and collect.

  17. MM I agree though I think the larger event planned for Brockwell Park has now been abandoned. It?s also alarmist for some posters to say that it?s so large that Peckham Rye Station has to be closed when in fact it?s due to be closed for pre-arranged bridge and track works. ETA Having checked, the original festival planned for Brockwell Park has been abandoned but another one will be taking its place.
  18. I saw some there many years ago but not recently.
  19. Earlier this morning at Sainsburys, I saw two rats near the chiildren?s play area.
  20. It is generally a good idea if all leaseholders in this situation extend at the same time as the landlord/freeholder is entitled to make a charge for extending which if all flats were extending would not happen as there would be mutual benefit. However if one flat had already extended their lease it would put them in a better position to charge as they would not need the agreement of their fellow freeholders.
  21. Strange the HA is not being more helpful in extending the lease as this would make it easier for them to find a buyer, also I would have thought if you own the majority share they could purchase a percentage. Anyway, hope you get sorted soon. We also used David Coombs at William Bailey to extend our lease but a different scenario as we were both leaseholders and freeholders.
  22. Disturbed to learn you have a cash buyer interested as I thought the ethos behind shared ownership properties was so that those without these kind of resources are able to get onto the property ladder. Does the sale need to be approved by the HA?

Lordship or Barry would be better. > The Hill used to be called Friern Hill, part of Friern Manor. Charles Dickens climbed to the top when he visited the dairy farm and gave a lovely account of the view from the top. http://www.djo.org.uk/household-words/volume-ii/page-148.html
  24. Power went off for about a couple of minutes at 4.50 am yesterday on North Cross Road
  25. Had planning permission been granted, it could have been with the proviso that full consultation was made with Thames Water and their recommendations adhered to, covered by an additional planning application?
