  1. Thanks for the tips people. I've been looking at the sportspower ones.
  2. I look on the eurocamp website for ideas and then book direct with campsite. Much cheaper that way!
  3. Random question but we're thinking of getting our son a trampoline for the garden. Does anyone know if you can keep them up year round or are you supposed to take them down over the winter to keep dry? Many thanks
  4. We went to Nantuket a few years ago, pre-kids though. Not sure I'd recommend it for a visit of a few days as there's not much to keep you occupied. I found it a little "sterile" tbh. I would base yourself on Cape Cod itself and then do day trips. Lots more options then especially if it's not beach weather
  5. Anyone know if cheeky c's playgroup on tomorrow at greendale centre? Thanks
  6. This may be too simplistic but there are lots of empty shops along Nunhead Lane. Surely rents there are going to be alot less than in East Dulwich and it's walking distance from Lordship Lane.
  7. Second vote for vancouver. An amazing city and very liveable. Slightly higher holiday allowances in Canada I think
  8. This may be a bit simplistic but is there the possibility of opening up in another location, maybe combined with a market stall on north cross rd on Saturdays
  9. I'm shocked and disgusted that such an amazing community asset can be treated this way with such wanton disregard for local feeling. Sods
  10. Anyone know if there's anywhere locally I can buy crafty bits for making Christmas decorations e.g colourful card, glitter, festive stamps etc. Thanks
  11. Wonder if this makes it more of less likely for Ivydale to bulge again this year?
  12. Worked for us! We used millpond with ds who was then 5 months. They definitely didn't try to push anything on us we weren't happy with. By 7 months he slept through most nights. Feel free to pm me if you want more details
  13. Belair park? Thanks!
  14. Anyone seen any sloes or damsons around I can use for sloe gin?
  15. Wavelengths pool in deptford is good fun for little ones. Has a slide and fountains . Parking available pay and display
  16. Do you have an anti-vaccination axe to grind here?
  17. Cullum

Is it me or is the line up this year really rubbish? Don't think I'll bother watching
  19. What all the other positive posters said. I'd definitely miss the plex if it closed (despite the fact that last month when I turned up at baby cinema to find out it wasn't on in the summer, I asked if I could see the Alan partridge film, they said I couldn't because the baby was underage. She's 8 weeks - its a 15. Was too dumbfounded to put up too much resistance)
  20. Another vote of support for Oak Tree. My son has been there nearly two years and is very happy and thriving there. The staff are young but very caring and warm. He loves them. I know that people have different experiences of different nurseries but we are very happy with our decision to send him there.
  21. I guess they're all different but about the same my son did the same. Took up to an hour to drop off but we stuck with it and still put him down every day as I thought he (and I!) still needed it. He still naps most days now at 3 years 2 months
  22. We went to camping cypsela on the costa brava a few years ago. Lovely part of Spain, not too many Brits and gorgeous coast. Just about drivable in a day from caen if you go hell for leather! It's got eurocamp, keycamp etc on site but like nunhead mum says, cheaper to book one of site sites own cabins. Also second half of august tends to be a bit cheaper
  23. Obviously am totally obsessed with sleep but just found this link to an American website that confidently states: "By 2 months most babies are sleeping 6 to 8 hours through the night. If your baby isn't sleeping through the night by 4 months, talk with your doctor about how you can help this to happen" http://kidshealth.org/parent/growth/sleep/sleepnewborn.html# Are they drugging them?
  24. Thank you very much!
  25. I'm trying to find out information about swimming lessons at Peckham Pulse for my 3 year old. Every time I phone up it just rings out and there is no specific information on the website. Anyone know how I need to book on / how it works? I really want to support local facilities but they make it very hard!!
