sanity girl, Powerpramming is ?6.50 PAYG or you can get 10 sessions for ?50 or 5 for ?30. No need to book. The session I described in the post above your one is for the running groups I do which are separate from Powerpramming (just incase it sounded a bit hardcore!). Hope you can make it.

Thanks molly. Yes, it was great fun starting them up. It is nearly 6 years ago now - can you believe it?! Try these sessions (they are not for beginner's): Speed Warm up at brisk pace for 7-10 mins Run your fastest for 30 sec Run at a slow recovery pace for 1 min Repeat this fast/ slow pattern 5-6 times Cool down at brisk pace for 7 - 10 mins and finish with a really good stretch. Hills Warm up and cool down as with other session. Run hard uphill for 30 sec Come back down jogging or walking Do this 5-6 times. Let me know how you get on. A word of caution - do not do both sessions in one week. Alternate them weekly. As you are currently running for about half an hour I have altered them slightly from I would normally do with my running groups. When you can run about 45mins - 1 hr then you can increase the number of intervals. Expect them to be hard! But the results are good.

You need to keep upping the intensity if you want to keep on losing weight. The body is so efficient it just learns to adapt if you do the same thing everytime. Ideas are blasts of fast and slow or repetitions of hills. You will soon see a difference to your general pace and figure. Lots of people on this thread have said they don't think they have the time or energy to exercise. The hardest part is probably getting into the routine. once you have a routine going it will be much easier. Make sure you are 6 weeks post Vag birth or 10 weeks post c-section. There are loads of things that can be done to fit around the baby (especislly if it is with your first). I used to walk miles with the pram when my first would have his lunchtime sleep. I wore my shoes out. I was so determined to get rid of the flab. You can do DVDs at home when the baby is in bed. You will feel much better for it. Powerpramming (which I run) is on Mondays at 12.30 on Peckham Rye and Thursdays at 10am in Dulwich Park. It is not a full on style of class like BMF but it is a good way of returning to or even starting exercise after pregnancy. If you can motivate yourself to exercise then great but if you cannot there are loads of post natal exercise classes in the area - we are spolit for choice. Don't forget the most important exercises are also pelvic floor ones! If anyone wants any exercise advice feel free to call me on 07976 778413. My websites are www.powerpramming.co.uk and www.asfitas.co.uk Sorry could not resist joining this thread.

It looks really big and a bit wild. Thought it might be nice for a change. Thanks.

Hiya I am wandering if anyone can recommend any outdoor play/ climbing equipment for a small garden - approx 30 foot. It is for my 2 sons who are 3 and nearly 6. I am looking at slides but think it would also be nice to have some kind of climbing thing. Anything to stop them swinging off the washing line and climbing the fence! Plus get them out of the house and not fighting! Thanks, Liz x

With regards to the original question, I found both boys slept better out of the moses basket and in the cot bed. I did swaddle them when they were tiny babies so space was not an issue then but when they got strong enough to fight their way out of the swaddle they definately needed more space. If you are on a tight budget or don't want too much stuff round the house I'd recommend just going straight for the cot bed as it will last you years. Our 5 yr old is tall hence he is now needing a proper single size. Sorry to jump onto this thread but just incase anyone is looking for a bargain - from the end of may we will be selling: John Lewis Ellen cot bed which also has the ends you need to convert it to a Junior bed and John Lewis Ellen Junior Bed Both kids used the cot bed and it is now being used as a Junior bed as we've taken the sides off by our 3 yr old. Our 5 yr old is in the other Junior Bed. Bunk beds being delivered end May so that is why they will be available then. Thanks,Liz 07976 778413

Marmora/Mundania/Therapia road area - what's it like?
Goodliz replied to Sanne Panne's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I am reading this thread with interest as I really like that side of ED. Do you think you get more for your money than the other side? We live near Goodrich School. -
Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Hiya, just wandered if anyone could recommend any good bunk beds please? We will need to get some soon for our 2 boys. Warren Evans are of course very nice but cost an arm and a leg. Has anyone bought any nice sturdy ones that can be separated later on if needs be. Many thanks, Liz

If I don't get some sleep, I may die...HELP!
Goodliz replied to Ruth_Baldock's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I don't have any real advice but I do feel for you. It is a while since mine were so small but I can remember those mums who said their babies slept through. If that many babies slept through there would not be so many best selling books about how to get your baby to sleep through! It is awful but you will get through it. Sorry I cannot say anything to help but I am sure as your baby grows it will get easier. I really feel for you. Best wishes for a good night's sleep soon. -
Hi ClareC, Sounds really normal. As mentioned before, get some DVDs/ good telly watching and some books from the library so you can relax during these frequent feeding sessions. Their tummies are tiny so cannot hold much. The feeds space out more after a couple of months.

whats a breastfeeding counsellor and where do we get one?
Goodliz replied to iaineasy's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Iain and Anna There is loads of help in the area as the girls have mentioned above. It is really worth getting the support. You are still in the early days stage at the moment so don't worry if you are finding it hard. I found BFing my first very, very hard but after alot of support from many of the places/ people listed above I got there. It took a good few weeks/ months but it happened and got much easier and I then BF for a year. In my opinion the books that say it should be easy straight away are lying! I always think that the skin on your nipples is like the skin on your lips. Think back to when you first started going out with your partner and could not stop snogging - ending in stinging and chapped lips!!! Sorry, I've had 2 glasses of wine and sound weird I know. Anna, you may also be tearful due to lots of things like hormones all over the place, sleep deprivation and just dealing with a new baby. Not easy for anyone. Many of us have been there too. Good luck to all 3 of you. You will get there. x -
Good child-friendly place in central London (recommended)
Goodliz replied to Polly D's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Places i would recommend are Nando's in Covent Garden. Perhaps for toddlers and up. I did not notice changing facilities but probably because I was not looking for them. It was very relaxed and spacious with a reasonably priced children's menu too. Although the eating area is downstairs they have lift that you can go in with the pram. I would imgine they do have baby changing. I'd also recommend going to the Royal Festival Hall if anyone is ever round that way. I think this is such a great place. There is definately baby changing facilities there. Plus it is on the 176 bus route if you just fancy an outing. Sorry to jump onto the thread PollyD :)) -
Compeed blister plasters work for me.

That is good news. Nisha's lovely displays of fresh fruit always encourage my kids to ask me to buy apples or satsumas or other nice stuff which is great in my opinion. As lots of previous posters have said, Val's (and the other little shops) are much, much cheaper than the Sainsbury's local. The service at these shops is better too - particularly in Val's and Red Apple newsagents.

Hi We have 2 of these in cotbed size http://www.naturalmat.co.uk/product.asp?strParents=111&CAT_ID=118&P_ID=710 I've washed them loads and they are brilliant - worth every penny.

Hi Rubyroo. I did not have help but would have loved it round times like mealtimes and when I knew I was on a deadline if that makes sense. Evenings from about 4.30pm would have been great. It might be worth getting them to start before the baby is due so number 1 can get used to them. I'd also recommend you have the person who helps you to spend more attention on the baby rather than the toddler. I found it was my toddler who needed most of my attention (understandably I guess!). As long as baby number 2 was fed and clean he was fine. People also recommend maternity nurses who live in for a bit and bring the baby to you in the night when you need to feed them etc. Once you have fed them they put them back to bed - luxury! Reading this back it sounds like I am a really awful and cold mother - I don't mean it like that. Just trying to be realistic about those sleep deprived first few/ several/ many (in my case!) months. I am sure you will get lots of advice. Good luck x

Yes, it does feel a bit like that.

Has anyone noticed that their electricity power is fluctuating recently? Our power keeps dipping throughout the day making the lights dim and telly and other electrical items sort of go off but not quite. We are on Goodrich Rd.
