  1. Definitely not allowed! Please Mountain walker, could you email me any details you can, where, what time, age of players etc so that we can try and identify whether it is one of the clubs that usually use the park to play. my details are below thanks Renata
  2. Hi First Mate, did you submit a form via the on-line link above? Once you submit a form you should get a confirmation via email. Renata
  3. I think Sopers are closed on Mondays
  4. The Reuse and Recycling Centre is now open, to aid with social distancing, all residents need to obtain a permit from the Southwark Council website before they can visit. Please click on the link for more details : https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/recycling/recycling-centres/reuse-and-recycling-centre Thank you Renata
  5. Hi all, below is my post from the other thread on the same subject. There are still delays. Post does turn up eventually, I had one item take 5 weeks! Renata I've just spoken to a member of staff at Peckham Sorting Office. Unfortunately they are very short staffed due to a high level of sickness. Additionally. use of postal services are far higher than usual. They currently have a huge backlog of post. A fortnight delay to post can be expected for some items. (As well as delays in Peckham there are also delays at all points in the postal service chain) On-foot deliveries are typically only happening every 4 days on each round in SE22/SE15. Saturday deliveries have been suspended. They apologise for the delay and say that post should turn up eventually. Renata
  6. Hi Brenda, I think that may be different, this is a Wifi router that is with NowTV WiFi. I appreciate that you have posted and would be willing to lend me your box. Thanks Renata
  7. Please, has anyone got a spare NowTV router hub? Ours has overheated and blown. NowTV have said it will take 5 working days for a replacement and I have a busy on-line meeting schedule next week as do the rest of my family (including on-line Uni exams and school lessons!). It would be picked up with social distancing. Thanks Renata
  8. Hi Penguin I will ask officers. It's difficult as they are short staffed and very busy at the moment. Also, some of the funerals ate being organised at very short notice. The majority of services are in Camberwell New Cemetery, hence why it is only open on Sunday. Nunhead and Camberwell Old are also having services and both had closures last week for this reason. Burials can happen in any areas of any of the cemeteries as many of the graves are double/family plots which are available for additional family interments. Renata
  9. Hi Dan, I'm sorry to hear about the incidents, it's very concerning that it has happened a second day running, and that he targetted you. Definitely notify the Police. I will notify Council Officers.
  10. Hi Sissi, as a ward councillor I am very familiar with the Cemetery. Camberwell New unfortunately currently has 3x the normal number of services. Our small group of burial and cemetery staff are currently very stretched at this difficult time. There are not the Harris barriers available for this nor the staff available to do what you suggest. If you wish to go to Honor Oak Rec,you can always walk the long way round via Forest Hill Road. If you are walking in the Brenchley Gardens area, you can walk through Brenchley Gardens and then cross Forest Hill Road to Camberwell Old Cemetery or walk down the Hill to Peckham Rye Park as alternative places to exercise. Renata
  11. Hi Sissi, unfortunately Camberwell New Cemetery and Crematorium are very busy. It is open on a Sunday for people to visit graves of their loved ones as there are services being held there on other days of the week. Camberwell Old and Nunhead Cemeteries are open on days when there are not services taking place in those cemeteries. Renata

  13. There are staffing issues at Peckham Sorting Office and post is taking far longer than usual (ie a week or more longer). Hopefully your post will turn up eventually!
  14. For free schools/faith schools, you need to email the schools directly to find out their last place distances over the last couple of years. Please remember that these can vary from year to year. Renata
  15. Hi LoveED86 the answer is no. You will be offered your highest preference which you can be offered in accordance with the school's admissions criteria. This means you should put your favourite first even if you only have a slim chance of being offered it. As is sais above, you need to ensure you have have a back-up choice ie don't put down 6 long shots, but have a school you think you are almost certain to be offered a place at somewhere on your form and put all your choices in true order of preference Renata
  16. Is there an electricity substation nearby? Sometimes when a part of them (? the transformer)is getting to the end of its life, they start to emit a low pitch hum. It may be worth contacting your electricity supplier and asking. Renata
  17. It's a directive from the government to all local authorities. All Cemeteries nationally are being closed. Renata
  18. Hi Kidkruger, it's due to the very sad situation that at the moment we are seeing/going to see an increased need for funerals and cremations due to Covid-19 related deaths. Renata
  19. updated post. Cemeteries are now open except for when services are occurring. As Camberwell New is in use Monday-Saturday,it is only open to the public on Sundays. Camberwell Old and Nunhead are open daily except for services for which they will be closed for general access. They will open at lunchtime following morning interments and will open in the afternoon after afternoon funerals. Renata
  20. Are any cafes in Southwark parks/open spaces open? They shouldn't be.
  21. Libraries are closed, cafes, playgrounds in parks are also closed. Renata
  22. Try calling the Nisa Supermarket in Nunhead, a local shop with a wide variety of items, a lot of its staples are Coop ones. Renata
  23. The only group where everyone was tested was the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Cruise passengers are typically likely to be older and be therefore more likely to have underlying health problems that then general population. The Diamond Princess had about a 1% fatality rate. The UK rate is a massive underestimate of infected individuals as currently testing is only being done on hospital admissions. I know of 9 likely affected people, none of them have been tested. Renata
  24. Hi Marmattee, they can't due this as it's a Thames Water property. Thames Water stopped the annual music festival as they didn't want non-members of the club on the land, the lease is for a golf club only. They also stopped the public going on Nunhead reservoir, which is also an open space. The park and open space closures are directly as a result of how some people ignored the social distancing rules over the weekend and treated this crisis as an extended bank holiday weekend to socialise with friends in parks.
