  1. Hi - it's been a while for us, but the one learning I got from trying out loads of various types was a) go for the easy assembly one and b) every baby is different, so they might refuse one type or not get on with them at all... I'd just buy one or two to try it out... Best of luck! m
  2. My family was completely against pink barbie, so of course they became my favourite toys. However, my barbies always went off to the Amazon on adventures (in their pink dresses) and to rescue Ken: I think it had a lot to do with the books I was read... I'm trying to the same as EmiyPie with my boy, and try to find stories with strong role models in both sexes...
  3. Hi - can anybody advise if the offer to get toddlers the flu jab is only for those families expecting another baby or for all toddlers? Mine is healthy and got a good immune system but I was wondering about getting him (and me - not pregnant) getting the jab, simply because getting the flu is horrible and I'd rather avoid it. We are with DMC but got no letter... thanks!
  4. hmmmm - I have only one, but thought about getting a game we can play together, like the fishing game...
  5. Hiya - i got this at in the last months of my pregnancy and Daniel Harvey was great: two sessions the pain was (mostly) gone. Highly recommend him! http://www.dulwichchiropractic.co.uk/. All the best! mx
  6. Third one for Lizzy Lomax - she was amazing.
  7. Hiya, went along today and it was really lovely. Lou was lovely to chat to, making a seriously fab coffee and the toast was yummy. Will become a firm favourite!
  8. Wow, Lou, that sounds amazing - am even more keen now to try it - hopefully next Thurs! :)
  9. Hiya, it'd be great if it got going on a semi regular basis - I would love to try again next Thurs (sorry about this one), it's looking promising at the moment...
  10. So sorry, have to be at client by 11.30,so am not going to make it after all, very disappointed... hopefully next time! Mx
  11. HI - I am looking for a tutor for my 17yrs old step son for his Physics A-levels. Ideally someone with a car/ in Beckenham/West Wickham area / willing to do some tutoring on a Sat (not sure how it normally works). Any recommendations please m
  12. Yep, another one for Baby Led Weaning cookbook - the recipes are yummy and not too challenging (am not the greatest cook...) - they have copies at the library. mx
  13. Hiya, I can empathize a little with the school stress - my LO is only 2.5 but I am stressing out, too - especially as I grew up in a different country and I find the set up here very different... The advice above sound really good and I know there are new schools planned, so the landscape might be very different in two years time. Just wanted to send some sympathy, too best of luck mxx
  14. Hiya, I am trying to finalise a potential client chat, but am hoping to make it on Thurs - Thank you Lousmith, and Verds, would be great to see you there. JbBoylen, as far as I am concerned, the more the merrier, unfortunately, I cannot make most Fridays (my day off with my son) - but if your schedule changes, would be great to see you at a coworking sometime!
  15. We used newborn sleeping bags, they were great. Look for the special newborn ones, without sleeves, mother care also does them.
  16. Hi - does anyone fancy another get co-working this coming Thursday?
  17. Signed - completely ridiculous invasion of privacy!
  18. My niece did - slightly reverse case as she in Germany and claimed against Easyjet. It did take forever to get sorted, and a lot, lot, lot of harassing on her part, but it did work in the end. Good luck mx
  19. I've come across this campaign to stop / reverse the ridiculous pink & blue isles in toy (and other toy-selling shops) and think it's worth supporting. http://www.lettoysbetoys.org.uk/ (link to website for the campaign) The shops around here are pretty good about not promoting gender specific toy arrangements, as far as I know, but I have come across a supermarket in the past which had its isles labelled as "girls toys" and "boys toys" - arrggh!
  20. Best of luck - have just downloaded the kindle version :)
  21. Having seen him do 3hrs+ shows twice in London this summer - he looks amazing, in clothes...I guess that kind of exercise regime keeps you fit :)
  22. Yay, agree on both accounts :)
  23. Hi - sorry, I cannot make that Wed but am very interested in trying out both, captured on the rye and the Ivyhouse ( haven't been to either, it'll give me a good excuse to explore...). Unfortunately can never do Fridays (working only Mon-Thurs) - Does anyone know if Fri is the only option on the Ivyhouse?
  24. Hi - it sounds odd, but I believe it's actually using the 1471/3 service that has a charge attached to it - regardless of who you are phoning. Maybe the sister of a kid in your kids class?
  25. Hiya, I also work mainly from home and it'd be nice to meet up locally to co-work. If you fancied travelling a bit further (or are in town anyway), it's worth checking out this co-working group: http://www.meetup.com/kindredhqcoworking/ - they are a really friendly bunch and again it means you get out of the house...I've been going on&off for over a year and got so see some cool co-working spaces this way :) M x
