-

-
there are some cave paintings that they think are actually showing issues with other hunters and how they messed up the hunt
-

" It's that recently Alleyns actions " what actions ? and why "little Jeremy " ? he's a pupil right ? as for name calling of our local kids ? surely you are having a laugh, you basically have a fucking private school paid by the tax payer and exclusive to your local kids and it's called Dulwich Village School ! get real

I think the desiel fumes from the big fat coaches are keeping my bee's very happy !
-
i put my first beehive nr Dulwich village.
-
asset 2 minor things, one i am a bee keeper hence the bonnet and 2 Nunhead is very near, near enough for me to walk to my place of work. oh...and being fattist about traffic is not the answer. It is not so much a figment of your imagination but a fact of life in London....i know a nice quite village with little traffic and no internet connection, i keep a number of bee hives there, if you fancy it i can hook you up. Parp Parp fat wagon coming through !
-
marvelous beard.....love it.....i shall grow one too.......i will leave it on for a week.......what a reposte !
-
Oversized coaches now is it ? straws clutching ! and townley i agree screwed for 15-20 minutes x 2 per day! take note everyone 1440 mins in a day 10080 over the week so thats 200 mins a week with some congest and inconvenience. Note that all private schools get far longer holidays so obviously 200 a week is only in regards to term time. x

MMM now lets think about this people you have, Dulwich college, Dulwich prep, Rosemead prep, Herne hill prep, Jags, Alleyns and Oakfield prep all private schools with no defined catchment area and all within 1mile of you. During the school runs all that traffic heading back this side would be coming back through DV amplifiying the problem around the bottle neck that is your road.......easy see......... Alleyns is a good school and gabriel is 100% right the problem is in all areas of London.....what can be done...nothing because you would just push the problems on someone elses doorstep that would then be the definition of a NIMBY, which and not wanting to start a row, i am sure you are not ! x

no always SE15, but the area was earmarked for regen a long time ago when this forum used to take place at the old EDT with a strawdust floor and a cop car parked up outside!
-
the public roads also belong to the pupils who attend these private schools and their parents so i do not really get your point, not sure eh roads are specifically for the residents who leave in them or close by ? I imagine the reason they do not want to use their own grounds is for fear of one of the pupils getting killed or injured by large coaches manouvering in tight spaces within school grounds. Have no agenda other than this situation has always been like this is shared by everyone across the country who lives near schools and that tthe issues regarding congestion are way bigger that coaches outside of schools. We are all well aware that the councnil chooses which roads to speedhump depending on who pressures them the most, west dulwich and dulwich village are littered with them......peckham....rare sight indeed ! ps, I witness it everyday as well.

it depends on the type of property, despite the increasing regulations it is still very much hit and miss depending on the fabric of the building and position of fireplaces throughout the property, but get your point.
-
yes i do all the time and it is no different from another area of london during the school run where you have a concentration of schools. How about you stop going to ED sainsburys the week before christmas and i will stop driving anywhere near the back of alleyns for 1week of the year !

"The number of 4 and 5 bed houses occupied by just one or two people where conversion would allow three to nine people to live would go a long way to increasing sustainable use of the houses we already have. " What an absolute blinkered, unrealistic, narrowminded, shortsighted, stuck at a computer generating building plans veiw of society you have, shave that beard off and engage with the outside world. I would like a decent social fabric, not a industrial zone crammed with people. Also with regard to a 'conversion' could you please tell me how you would solve, and bear in mind you would become an overnight millionare, the problem of noise insulation which was obviously not something the 'victorians' had to consider. Bins and parking should be a worry, how far do you move the line ?

Peckham Rye - Mystery with tail

Blimey - shrink that hyena by a half and put a tail on it and you are certainly getting close............much sandier fur though -
not sure it is actually gridlock, i am driving around in my van all the time and never have that many problems. Gridlock is the old kent road throughout the start of this year due to the entire water mains network being dug up by one man with a trowel.
-
yes, experience says this : you will get ignored, parking will become even worse and you will get double the amount of bins and recycling boxes in your street ! enjoy
-
and maybe you could stick that idea where the sun rarely shines, How about we move onto to nunhead for a bit of regeneration. As for public subsidy LL and ED and had more than enough, 5mill upgrade to the sports centre just the latest. No doubt you will get your bollards as the lib executive take the taxes from se15 and pour them back into SE22 just to keep their seats.......the joy of a democracy.

parked on public roads with public tax disks. problem is make residents roads not public by applying waiting retrictions (exclusion by any other name) and punish everyone else who is not local. very kings road.

Peckham Rye - Mystery with tail

their fur was nothing like that brendan, it looked pretty rough and matted. Not that Dholes thing either, slighty too large and dog like. -

i know crikey indeed ! it a weird feeling when you can not actually place something and my dogs went all weird as well, how come they just don't think it is just another animal, how would they know it/they were somehow odd ? (tommy) they were smaller than that, this is going to sound even weirder but they had that hunched up body type of Hyena's, but obviously not as big. -
Just walking my 2 dogs late this evening in the rye when one of them started acting really strangely near the back of the garden area. Then something came out of the shrubs and started to walk across the path into the picnic area. At first i thought it was a fox then realised that it was actually bigger than my dog, which is a young labrador. It stopped for a few seconds and stared at the 3 of us, i then noticed that its tail was long thin and fairly large curling up over its back and it had sandy colored fur with a leopard patching. It dawned on me that this was some kind of wild cat, then seconds later a 2nd one smaller appeared along side it and they both turned and headed of up the path and towards the wooded area. My dogs refused to follow and turned around. I must say i was pretty freaked out. Unable to blame this on any local quango or liberal executive plot i am at a loss to explain what the hell they were. I stared at them for a good 20 seconds at about 15ft and have no idea what i was looking at..........?
