  3. Meet new people at Aquarius Festival on 31st August!!! The more, the merrier! If you're new to the area, you might even consider joining the club!
  4. Hi guys, Aquarius Festival is now just 31 days away, and we're tying up all of the applications for craft trader and catering pitches over the course of the next week. If you have a mobile street food-style kitchen, and all of the Health & Hygiene certification, there are still plenty of opportunities for a good day's trading. If you are a local craft trader who sells at other events, fayres, boot sales etc, and fancy a day's trading at a great all-day music event, please get in touch as quickly as possible. We had set a cut off date for pitch applications at the end of July, but are happy to extend that for another week or so. This year's festival line up is awesome, and it will run on the usual spot (lower area of the Beachcroft Reservoir, at Aquarius Golf Club, Marmora Road, SE22) from 12.00 until around 8.00pm outdoors. We anticipate attendance at least as good as last year, at which most caterers sold out of stock, and craft traders had a busy time. Be really good to see a few local catering and pop-up traders making a good day's money at the 4th Aquarius Festival. PM me directly if you're interested!! The clock really is ticking!!
  5. Don't know if anyone noticed, but this thread was started in 2008.
  6. Sorry about that. Not everyone out there keeps their Word up to date. I'll make a point of saving in more formats in future. Festival poster to come soon!!!! dbboy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Am unable to open the .docx file, can you add it > as either a .doc or PDF file. thanks.
  7. Perhaps he'll come and paint some of the bollards at Aquarius Golf Club on Festival Day - August 31st. 20 great bands on 3 stages, with plenty of fun for families.
  8. Can everyone who wants to show their support please PM me with the address details? A few have said 'I'm in' but not contacted me by PM. The more, the merrier, and the cut off date for producing the boards is nearly on us!!! Cheers! Brian
  9. Last chance for entries! The response has been just wonderful! Anyone out there that wants to show their support for the biggest little music festival here in SE22, please step up now!!
  10. As a local park user I don't really have a problem with the removal of many of the trees that were sentenced to death by this recent 'cull'. Many of them are very old, leaning in what appears to be dangerous ways, and I would have to say that, if they were in my own garden, I would probably get shot of them. I'm pretty certain, following the massive plantation that came with the Peckham Rye Park Lottery Funding a decade or so ago, and the more recent planting of many young trees around the park, that the idea of 'sustainability' is most likely the one that dominates here among the decision makers. Always sad to see old trees being removed, but at the end of the day, they simply make way for the younger crop.
  11. I'd like to see the response to this in the hundreds by the end of July, so come on East Dulwich! Show the forum how much you love live music!!!
  12. It's getting closer. Let's keep this support for live music alive and well in East Dulwich!! Show your support to your neighbours. It costs nothing, is non-intrusive, and is helping to fund an amazing day of live music on 31st August. If you play music, sign up. If you love to see live music, sign up. All addresses that do sign up will be sent a free entry coupon for the Festival itself.
  13. All of the traders in Homestall Road should check this event out - a captive crowd of several hundred hungry mouths - some of them very hungry, some of them very vegetarian!!!
  14. You're out there, and you need to get in touch by the end of July to guarantee your pitch!!! It's a brilliant music line up, with tons of additional family fun. Price is now just ?17.50 per pitch, not ?20 as stated above. Get in touch!!! The clock is ticking!!!!!
  15. Bump - it's getting closer - a great opportunity for local street caterers to trade among a closed field of several hundred festival goers!! Get in touch if you're interested!!!
  16. This year Aquarius Festival is on August 31st, at Beachcroft Reservoir, Marmora Road, SE22 0RY. This is a week ahead of the Peckham Rye Fayre, so you now have an opportunity for two heavy footfall local dates just a week apart. We will be inviting all of last year's caterers back, as they were all very popular, and all of the hot food stalls sold out of stock! Our regular Ice Cream man will also be there, possibly with 2 vans this year, as he sold out too. What we are looking for to add to the 'pop-up' kitchen are 2 or 3 additional stalls. Last year we really missed vegetarian food, so any vegetarian street-food stalls will be very welcome, and should also do really well! Each catering trader will receive a marked 5 metre by 7 metre pitch for their installation, at a cost for the day of ?175.00. Please PM me for application forms. Looking forward to another great day for our local businesses and traders!
  17. Hi everyone! This year's Aquarius Festival is going to be on 31st August, at Beachcroft reservoir, Marmora Road, SE22 0RY. This is great for local stall traders as it does not clash with the Peckham Rye Fayre, which is on the following Saturday, so you will have 2 days to generate some business in the space of a week! We will accept almost anything as a 'trader'. If you have something to sell, and a bench/trestle table, and some kind of awning, then a clearly marked 5 metre square space is yours for just ?20.00. Last year saw record numbers at the Festival, and this year we're hoping to improve the event once again. PM me for application forms. Cut off date for applications/payments is July 31st. Thanks! Hoping for a massive response, and another great day!
  18. If you love your music live, why not sign up for a board in support of Aquarius festival? We'd happily accomodate a bit of live drumming at the Festival. Local volunteers required to simply allow an estate agent board advertising the Festival to be put up outside their home for the month of August. Just go to the thread, also in this section, to read more and sign up! http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1115032
  19. Thanks to you all for your support!! Spread the word!! The more the merrier, and the happier our sponsors will be! Let's flood the streets with Aquarius Festival boards! Cut off date for your support will have to be something like late July, just so we give the winning bidder time to produce all of the boards. Great to see such a supportive local spirit - keeping it live!!!
  20. aaaw thanks!! Spoke to the Bar managers yesterday, and it looks like Saturday July 13th is the day! Need to confirm with Club Committee, but pencil it into your diaries! B
  21. Thanks for the very kind words, which I will pass on to the bands. I can't stop people talking - although I do agree that it's a little impolite. Live acts are used to it. Watch this space, as there may be another primer gig for local main stage contenders in July. A sort of 'Battle of the Bands'. Hope to see you soon - at the next event, and thanks for mentioning the board support! Anyone out there who'd like to show their support for Aquarius Festival by having an estate agent board advertising the Festival, please go to the General ED issues/gossip section, and opt in by following the oh so easy instructions. Thanks to everyone that made Saturday such a success - especially all of outr first time visitors - we hope to see you again!!! Brian
  22. Thanks to everyone showing support so far. The festival is such a great community event, I would love to see more people stepping up. What harm will a board outside your house that advertises the festival do? None at all. What good will it do? Bring substantial funding from a local estate agent into the festival. More funding = a better event for everyone!!! It's a chance for the gentlefolk of East Dulwich to really show how much they support live music. The more, the better. Simple as that.
