Maybe they don't care. Sadly, we're in one of the safest Labour seats in the country which is why they have the front to do these things while also holding consultations that they completely ignore the outcome of.

Source of this information? Also, whilst we accept how busy this junction can get, the work Southwark did 2 years ago made the traffic considerably worse, especially the change of priority to enter Court Lane. That alone created a log jam over the junction and was deliberate IMHO to screw the figures to justify the closure.

Don't suppose you remember what the rational was do you? Sounds like more Southwark congestion making madness to bump up some figures somewhere they want ratifying. Given how slowly the buses head up the hill, especially from the lights, it'll cause more problems than I can imagine it would solve.
  6. Went this morning to collect from Argos and they asked me to wait 10 minutes which was roughly the wait in the queue I think as there were about 20 people only. This was about 10:30am.
  7. Went there on Wednesday morning at about 10am (more by luck than judgement) and there were about 8 of us in the queue. When we left after doing a regular sized family shop, it was much bigger.

  9. With all due respect, the items for sale sections have been closed for a good reason.
  10. paulipedia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If you go to the park don't walk on the path. > Simple Could you be a bit more vague please? As a rule, pedestrians always have right of way, even on a highway (within reason for a highway). 'Pedestrian' does not cover joggers, runners, cyclists etc.
  11. Don't know why none of us thought of Farmers first! doh

I kinda agree but keeping in touch during this period is essential and having a dead phone for 5 days isn?t ideal. You can do things safely if you?re sensible. I know some streets have been giving out flour etc to those that need it and can?t buy it but you?re absolutely right that we need to do these things in a safe and sensible manner.
  13. Most corner shops will have these as they?re super standard if you?re already going out to get some essentials. Also YGM.
  14. Perhaps snap their reg next time and report them. This is far beyond normal littering.
  15. Who are you with and is there anything on Down Detector? The old switch off and on again is always worth a try. Also worth checking that the cables into your phone point are ok. Had plenty of instances where the ADSL splitter just up and died and killed the connection.
  16. Sainsburys DKH - queueing out onto Edgar Kyle Way again this morning. M&S by the station - straight in and plenty of stock. M&S LL - big queue Sainsburys by the library - small queue
  17. The Ivy House has been doing sales to the public and deliver too as far as I know. 020 7277 8233

M&S have had a massive problem for a while but have decided, as a company, to ignore as presumably the store makes enough money that it isn't an issue to their bottom line. The net effect though is attracting more shoplifters to an easy target. Pretty irresponsible behaviour from a corporate that projects such a 'cuddly' image.
  19. Would it really be a utopian dream if: The cyclists in Dulwich park made the most of the roads being deserted and used them instead of endless loops of the park, swerving around everyone at a time when we're all struggling to keep a safe distance. Hell, they could even organise a Tour de France style event round Dulwich, Crystal Palace & Forest Hill wearing their best lycra. The joggers in Dulwich park did the same. The park could then be safely used by families to get their kids out, get them some air without having to shush them out of the way of the above every 2 minutes. Surely it isn't being selfish to prioritise families being able to use the park at this time - is it? Is it?
  20. I think that we can all hear them more obviously due to the lack of traffic noise and aircraft noise.

Hi Caz, If you want to PM your number I'll add you in.

There are a number of roads doing neighbour checks and I'm sure we can find one and put you in touch. Mine uses WhatsApp which is free and can be installed on a phone or computer as long as you have a mobile number. If you're in the Underhill/Overhill/Belvoir triangle then I'm sure we can help. Failing that, Sainsbury's has set up a special line to help people in your situation - 0800 052 5500

Dear God. You can't even wind your neck in during a global pandemic. You really are a vile specimen.

  25. I use Ben +44 7734 351727. He's local and very reliable. Worth giving him a bell and maybe getting him to pop by. Maybe leave it an hour or two though as he's mid way through fitting a new rad for me :-)
