One could write volumes and people sit in debates for hours discussing the subject. EDF needs to adopt a 140 character policy.. Foxy

I'll PM you the selfie pics.. My day is very dull and doesn't merit any running commntary. I was infact replying to Louisa who is getting a take away. without including here post. Do not know if they have Free range.. The term Free range is virtually meaningless. Any animal in an enclosed shed that can see daylight through an opening can be called free range. Even if the place is so crowded they could never reach the outside. Foxy

Alexander (Boris de Pfeffel) Johnson's success is due to those who think he is a T(w)it. He is a very clever man.. and I'm no Tory. DulwichFox

I was going to try the Xoco Bar tonight but the Chicken selection from the Menu is a bit sparse.. Stuffed Chicken Masala / Chicken Tikka Masala.. Place seems to be popular despite the competition across the road. Hope that does not come across too narcissistic talking about something I may do this evening. Perhaps a selfie stick is in order.. :) Foxy

It's spending too much time on Twitter and only having chunks of 140 characters to say your piece. My comments might seem a bit deep profound. Sorry.. Foxy

Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- 1. How could you possibly know this? You weren't even there and have no intention of going either. I was walking past and know the team there fairly well. They used to be at the Bishop and I have known them for years. I gave an acknowledging wave and smile but decided not to go in.. Some EDT staff were also in evidence.. So stop making a complete a*se of yourself and if you want a chat I'm in the EDT most nights.. I know from other EDF users you know me.. I've no idea who you are and do not appreciate the constant Cyber Bullying. You seem to have a unnatural obsession.. You need to get out more.. Talk to people.. DF.

I'm with Lou on this one.. It IS very strange to go to a new restaurant only to choose to be seated in the window looking out on to the street with your back to the place you have gone to see. Especially on a first visit. Would question the reason why anyone doing so were there. Certainly on the opening night there was an element of 'self importance' with management and friends occurying the prime window seats.. And I get accused of being Narcissistic... DulwichFox

We do not need a Garden Bridge to attract tourists to the area.. Millions come here every year. With increasing urbanisation of London, some of these were preserved as freely accessible open space and became public parks with the introduction of the Crown Lands Act 1851. There are today eight parks formally described by this name and they cover almost 2,000 hectares (4,900 acres) of land in Greater London. The money could well be utilised elsewhere.. Trees on a bridge? do these trees not have roots? As trees grow.. they get heavier. Trees with shallow roots get blown down.. on a bridge.. into the river.. ?? Just dont make ANy sense at all. Loisa wrote.. Some people though, do actively go to certain places to be seen, and unfortunately ED seems to have said people in abundance. Thats true in one way.. There are places deemed places to go to or be seen in.. but most of the people doing so are very ordinary and not very intersting. I am a great fan of the slightly eccentric type.. I sometimes dress in a manner that could be classed in that way. However I would not do so in places deemed good to be seen in. What a waste that would be.. What happened to Intrigue .. Masque .. Mime.. Theatre.. The Medieval Pub .. Banquets.. Sawdust .. Foxy..

Well yes.. Scott knows I drink real ale and probably though ML was not for me. I was not expecting real ale to be honest.. But even your average Curry house manages to put up some draught lager. Both require glasses and bottled beers are mostly drunk out of the bottle. Foxy

No I was not at the opening night.. But I was on the guest list at The Actress and also The Victoria Inn where I also got a FREE sunday lunch when they first opened. Was also invited to the opening of The Rye but could not make it. I spoke to Scott and I think he thought M.L. was probably not for me. As I understand it they have no real ale or other draught beers. I may well be wrong. Georgia:- As for commenting on places I have not been to. Well I am happy to pop in for a drink and have not made any comments on the place to its detriment. Sue:- Maybe some older people just feel uncomfortable not being around people their own age? I get on well with young people. More so than people my own age.. So yet again a wrong assumption of me.. Foxy.

FM was not too full at 09.00pm last night.. no queues.. MEATliquor chocker block.. Certainly.. The younger demographic deserve to eat out too! Its Horses for Courses. I just thought that ML might not best suit our Louisa.. I was wondering if you can pop into MEATliquor for a drink. (I thought about it last night as I passed) or do you have to eat. The Bar area was also rammed with people sitting on stools. Foxy

Avoid this builder.. He may well request more money for materials. Walk off the job blaming you.. if you are not happy with paying out more money. He could just dissapear leaving you with an unsafe house. Possibly with part of your roof missing. If he does finish the job and you have problems with the finished build you will not have a leg to stand on.. There are a lot of day time T.V. programs exposing cowboy builders.. often operating in this way. Find yourself a registered builder that will not request payments in this way. You may well need to pay a deposit with the balance to be paid on completion. I had some windows and patio doors fitted by Bespoke Windows.. The Rep. came round and did a prelimary measure up. gave me a price (not a quote) Worked out any discount.. I paid a deposit. Work was completed on agreed date. I agreed I was satisfied with the work Only then was I invoiced for the balance.. I paid.. and then recieved all the Garantees This is how things should be. DulwichFox

New Shops in Dulwich / Peckham

It's not a suprise the curries are good. There seems to be a connection with another L.L curry outlet on L.L. Albeit a little distant. Sort of friends of friends as opposed to any family connection.. ?? Foxy ETA. It is on my list.. Albeit a very short list. :) -
How did that happen ? is there a time limit ? Or did you park and not use the pub ? Foxy Not on or over the Hill... yet.

I've alway been a small eater but I think my stomach must of shrunk. (Do stomachs really shrink) I really do struggle with food these days. Still ! more left overs for Michael P's Doggy Bag. There you go 4 I's and 1 me . so J.L. does not need to count them.. Hope to see you at the next Curry Bash.. Are you on a Dry Sept. ? Foxy

Jah Lush Wrote: > When you write "It's impossible to enjoy food when > you are diabetic" - one would naturally assume > you're speaking for all diabetics, not just > yourself. A usual it's all about you. You have a > narcissistic personality disorder. You obviously do not know or have not spoken to many diabetics. I't is about me.. just as is about you. People are different. Yes. there may well be type 2 diabetics that 'enjoy' their food and eat what they want but most of them are on medication and over weight. You only have to go up to D.E.C.S at Kings to see the amputees who may of ignored the warnings. To speak openly about ones health problems is not 'narcissistic', and it's not a disorder. That's just a Buzz word you have picked up from EDF. I can only speak for myself.. cannot speak for others. that is NOT narcissism. You need to look it up and restrict its use. D.F.

I have type two > diabetes and I still love my food. You are NOT me.. When I say 'It's impossible to enjoy food when you are diabetic.' I mean me. I used to eat out most nights. Finances aside I eat out about 4 - 5 a month. I have T/A's and I get 2 - 3 meals out of a normal curry rice meal. This means I do not need medication and have a HB1ac of 5.7mmol/L I am now concidered as Not Diabetic and may of reversed my condition. Although most medical personel suggest that reversing type -2 diabetes is immposible. If I were to stuff my face with Burgers and fries and chocolate brownies and ice cream I could well be back to square one. Not a risk I'm willing to take. I'm not really a foodie.. Food is just fuel and my body no longer uses it corectly. Curry Club is the only time I really sit down to eat and leave most of my food. Mick P's doggy bag. :) I cannot finish a whole meal so restaurants sadly have become a no no for me. So you see. NOT 'Complete and utter nonsense.' as you put it. Foxy
