Much smaller with just a couple of tables at the front. It was a lovely place and I often sat in and enjoyed a fish n chip supper there. Foxy.

It's more to do with the type of meat we are eating.. and how much.. A lot more of the meat we all eat is processed.. and we have been eating a lot more of it.. Bacon, Ham, Sausages, Chorizo, Salami, Pate, Bowel Cancer is mainly found in people over 60 so we are now the first generation to reach that age with a history of eating processed meats.. Foxy

When I was a kid I had a friend whose dad was a driver for the Dutch Boy Laundry.. We used to sit on the tail gate of his lorry as he drove around the area.. delivering washing, our legs dangling over the edge. Can you imagine that now.. ?? H&S would have nightmares lol. Foxy.

I seldom actually eat Take-Away kebabs these days. Back in the days when Yilmaz made their D?ners by hand on site from lamb shoulders I used to eat more. I seldom eat the Smooth Pate like D?ners that are factory made. I am concerned about Halal meat. as a concequence of late I tend to eat Prawn curries or vegetable biryanis.. Even meat bought in major supermarkets is no better generally that that found in most restaurants.. DulwichFox

It is extravagant but you can get 2 small burgers out of a Medium sized Rib-Eye.. Its delicious.. Give it a go.. Foxy

Well... The Watson Telegraph are doing Burgers for ?13.00 so if this Gaff charges ?15.00 they will be queing around the block. People simply have to have to most expensive burger they can find. Who really cares whats in it or what it tastes like. I jest not. DulwichFox

Burgers are very profitable... They are cheap to produce.. No specialist equipment required to prepare / cook them.. No need for a qualified Chef.. Any school leaver would be able to cope.. We have more than enough places selling Burgers.. DulwichFox

I do not recommend high speed charging.. It shortens the life of your battery.. Batteries should be charged over night at what is called 'The 16 Hour rate' For a 100 ampere hour battery it should be charged at approx 6.25 amps for 16 hours.. You can charge at that rate for 4 Hours `and then once your car has started, the battery will charge normaly providing the battery is good and the fan belt is not loose.. A Battery will normally last 5 years although my battery is over 10 years old. (Touch Wood) N.B. When a battery is charged at a very high rate it overheats and sulphates.. As it overheats the plates can buckle and the sulpation falls off and sinks to the bottom where it collects and short circuits the cells. this causes further overheating and will permanently destroy the battery.. If your car is NOT an automatic.. get 2 people to push you and engage 2nd gear when you are moving.. Do not engage 1st gear.. You will Stall the car.. You can then take your car for a drive and hopefully charge your battery enough for it to start until you have time to take it for a longer drive or to a garage to check the battery.. There is always a small risk that a Jump-Start will damage one of the cars alternator. That could result in a very expensive repair.. Parts and labour 2 hours.. DulwichFox

Plastacine and crayon boxes would fit in well even if no small people present.. All very odd... Foxy. -
I wonder what will become of the building... ? Flats I suppose.. Foxy

Was there last night... An improvement to what was there before but that would not of been difficult. Was nice and cosy with a warm fire... ...but with Burgers at ?13.00 and Ale selling for ?5.70 - ?6.00 a pint some one is taking the P***. Not even strong ales ?5.70 for 4.2%. .. Shocking. Pumps on back wall makes it difficult to read/see what is on offer.. Certainly lacks 'Pub' feel. Bar covers what were once windows.. not much natural light. DulwichFox.. -
I have made further local enquiries this morning and spoken to a couple of people.. They are a bit reluctant to commit themselves but reading between the lines Silvester Road in its itentirerity is destined to close. It will almost definatley move to Peckham but I do not know myself where / when that will be. It's a real shame. DulwichFox

I have been in contact with Royal Mail and managed to speak to a real person... Without holding a Sceance.. They checked the Bullitines and Schedules for Silvester Road Sorting Office and have concluded that they cannot see that any closure is planned. I visited the office today but they close at 1 o'clock. I will try again tomorrow.. DulwichFox
